Year Production Colt House Model “Cloverleaf” Spur Trigger Revolver - Serial no. 553, 41 RF cal., 3 inch round bbl., nickel finish, rosewood grips. Manufactured in 1871, the first year of production. The top of the barrel has the standard two-line address and the chambers of the cylinder and bottom of the barrel have British proofs. The butt, front cylinder face, barrel, and inside of each grip panel are all numbered “533”. Includes a hardwood case with Colt’s London Agency interior label, cleaning rod, key, and thirteen .41 RF cartridges.
CONDITION: Extremely fine, retains 95% plus of the original nickel finish with scattered nicks and
80% of the original nitre blue on the hammer and trigger with some minor dings and handling marks scattered throughout. The grips are fine with numerous minor dings and dents and retain most of the varnish. Mechanically excellent. The case is very good with some scattered minor
handling/storage marks.

rosewood grips. Manufactured in 1878 as a Second
Model with standard features as well as the desirable
4 inch, etched panel barrel and a loading gate. The standard two-line address is on top of the barrel, patent date on the bottom under the cylinder pin, and “38CAL C” is on the left of the frame. Matching serial numbers are on the left of the grip frame and back side of each grip panel, and partial matching serial number “858” on the rear face of the cylinder. Includes a hardwood case with Colt’s London Agency interior label, cleaning rod, key, and fifteen .380 Eley cartridges.

Exceptional London Retailer Cased Colt Etched Panel
New Line .41 Spur Trigger Revolver - Serial no. 13088, 41 CF cal., 2 1/4 inch round bbl., nickel finish, hard rubber grips. Manufactured in 1874-1879 with standard features, the two-line address on top of the barrel, “COLT NEW 41” in an etched panel on the left, and the patent marking on the bottom. There are British proofs on the bottom of the barrel and cylinder. The caliber marking is on the left
of the frame, and the matching
serial number is on the left of
the grip frame, bottom of the
barrel, and inside the right grip.
Includes a hardwood case with Cogswell & Harrison interior retailer label,
cleaning rod, screwdriver, oiler, key, and five .380 Kynoch cartridges.
CONDITION: Excellent, retains 95% plus of the original nickel finish with
some scattered light flaking and a few scattered minor dings. The grips
are also excellent with minimal handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
The excellent exterior of the case is refinished with the lining fine and some light handling/storage marks. Estimate: 2,250 - 3,500

Colt Open Top Pocket Spur Trigger
Revolver with Scarce Long Barrel/Ejector
Rod - Serial no. 1101, 22 RF cal., blue/silver finish,
walnut grips. Manufactured in 1871 as an early production variation with
desirable ejector and scarce 2 7/8 inch barrel. Matching numbers on butt,
both grip panels, and barrel.
CONDITION: Fine. The barrel and cylinder retain 60% period refinished blue thinning to a brown. The brass frame has an
attractive untouched aged patina.
The grips are fine with high edge
wear and minor handling marks.
Mechanically excellent.

Attractive Full Silver Plated
Colt Third Model Derringer with Holster -
Serial no. 44318, 41 RF cal., 2 1/2 inch round
bbl., silver finish, antique ivory grips. These
Third Model Colt “Thuer” derringers were
manufactured from 1870-1912. This example is completely silver plated, one of the more rare finish options available from the factory. The matching serial number is on the left of the grip frame, bottom of the barrel, and handwritten inside each grip panel. There are london proofs on the barrel. The pistol otherwise
has standard markings and features including the sloping
hammer and italic “-COLT-” marking on top of the barrel.
Includes an unmarked leather holster.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 90% plus of the original
silver plating that shows an attractively aged patina
overall, some scattered light flaking/spotting, and
some light edge wear. The attractively aged grip
are also very fine with some scattered light
handling marks. Mechanically excellent. The
holster is fine with some mild wear.
Estimate: 1,800 - 2,750
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 85% plus of the original blue and casehardened finishes with the balance having thinned to a smooth grey patina, some scattered light handling marks, and a well-defined etched panel. Extensive scattered patches of pitting are visible on the right side of the barrel. The grips are fine with minor handling marks scattered throughout. Mechanically excellent. The case is fine with mild handling/storage wear.
