Colt Second Generation Single Action Army Revolver with Black Box - Serial no. 18975SA, 45 LC cal., 4 3/4 inch round bbl., blue/casehardened finish,
hard rubber grips. Manufactured in 1958. Standard markings and features. Matching serial numbers on
of which is included, and is noted as shipping February 28, 1956. Matching serial numbers are found on the frame, trigger guard, grip strap, and inside each grip (sans suffix). Matching assembly numbers on the front cylinder face and loading gate. Also included is the original black box.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue finish and case colors with limited handling marks and crisp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent. Box is very fine.
Provenance: The Don and Carol Wilkerson Collection.
the frame, triggerguard, and backstrap with partial serial number “975” on the
grip panels. Assembly number “226” marked on the front cylinder face and inside
the loading gate. Includes a correct Colt black box (unnumbered), and a copy of
Don Wilkerson’s “Colt Single-Action Revolver Handbook 1955-1975”.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue finish and case
colors with limited handling marks, a partial light cylinder drag line, and crisp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent. Box is very fine with a split lid corner.
