This revolver is pictured on page 181 of Don Wilkerson’s “Colt Single-Action Revolver: Handbook 1955-1975” including the note that it was shipped on December 28, 1962 and that it was one of only 72 Second Generation New Frontier Buntline revolvers making this a very scarce configuration indeed. Standard markings and features. Matching serial numbers are found on the frame, triggerguard, and with partial serial number “370” on each grip panel

CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and casehardened finishes with limited handling evidence and very faint cylinder drag line. Mechanically excellent.

Revolver - Serial no. 16579SA, 38 Special cal., 4 3/4 inch round bbl., blue/casehardened finish, smooth
grips. This revolver is pictured and described on page
103 of Don Wilkerson’s “Colt Single-Action Revolver:
Handbook 1955-1975”, the caption states it was shipped to
Tribes Hill, NY, on May 2, 1958. The chart on page 102 of the same
book states that only 741 revolvers where built in this combination
of finish, caliber, and barrel length. Standard markings and features
other than the upgraded smooth grips. Matching serial numbers
marked on the frame, triggerguard, and backstrap. Assembly
number “878” marked on the loading gate and front cylinder face.
Includes a copy of Wilkerson’s aforementioned book.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 97% plus original blue and
99% original casehardened finishes with some scattered minor
handling evidence, some wear at the muzzle, and a slight cylinder drag line. Mechanically excellent. Provenance: The Don and Carol Wilkerson Collection.

Documented Colt Frontier Scout Single Action Revolver with Extra Cylinder, and Box - Serial no. 57617P, 22 LR cal., 4 3/4 inch round bbl., blue finish, synthetic grips. Manufactured in 1968. This revolver is pictured on page 113 of Don Wilkerson’s “Colt Scouts, Peacemakers, and New Frontiers in .22 Caliber”. Standard markings and features. Includes an extra .22 magnum cylinder, a correct model factory box with shipping sleeve, and a copy of Wilkerson’s aforementioned book.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue finish with limited handling evidence. The extra cylinder shows light spotting but is very fine. The box is very fine. Mechanically excellent.
