Large Allevin of Paris Double Barrel Flintlock Holster Pistol - NSN, 58 cal., 11 1/2 inch solid rib bbl., bright finish, walnut stock. This 18th century French pistol is signed “ALLEVIN APARIS” on the locks and barrels and has smoothbore barrels, a blade front sight, dished rear sight on the standing breech, light scroll engraving behind the non-bridled pans, bright iron furniture, spire shaped trigger guard finial, and full-length stock. CONDITION: Fine overall with mostly bright metal surfaces with some splashes of varnish and slight oxidation, repaired right cock, and
 LOT 306 Dublin Castle Light Dragoon Flintlock Pistol - NSN, 65 cal., 9 inch round bbl., bright finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in the last quarter of the 18th century with a smoothbore barrel, flat lock marked with the Georgian cipher at center and “DUBLIN/CASTLE” at the rear, ramrod pipe and entry pipe, rounded trigger guard and side plate, short ear pommel cap, and raised plateau around the barrel tang. CONDITION: Good with dark brown patina overall, mild oxidation/pitting, some replacement parts on the lock to include the hammer, aged patina on the brass furniture, and mild overall wear. The
    generally minimal overall wear. The stock is also fine with an added coat of varnish, light scratches, a very slight repair at the upper tang, a few tiny dings, and minor edge wear. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 3,000 - 5,000
LOT 304 Ketland & Co. Sea Service Flintlock Pistol - NSN, 56 cal., 12 1/8 inch round bbl., bright finish, walnut stock. This c. 1801-1809 British Sea Service pistol has a smoothbore barrel with proofs at the breech, a “crown/GR” and “KETLAND/& Co” marked lock, storekeeper mark with partial “180” dated visible, “50” and the double broad arrow out of service mark on the left stock flat, replacement belt hook, and brass furniture. CONDITION: Very good with a coating of varnish over the lock and barrel and mild pitting, aged patina on the brass, and general mild overall wear. The revarnished stock is fine and has a chip at the tail of the lock and mild scratches and dings. Mechanically fine. Estimate: 2,250 - 3,500

British Land Pattern Heavy Dragoon Flintlock Pistol -
NSN, 69 cal., 12 inch round bbl., bright finish, walnut stock. The smoothbore barrel has ordnance proofs. The lock has “TOWER” at the tail, the Georgian cipher at the center, a rounded iron pan, and several smaller marks, including “DE” and “WR” inside. The stock has a “1786” dated storekeeper’s mark to the right of the wrist escutcheon and “VI” on the tail of the left flat. CONDITION: Good with mottled gray patina on the barrel, dark brown patina on the lock, mild oxidation and pitting, aged patina on the brass, and general mild marks and scratches. The refinished stock is fair and has repairs in the forend, some slight gaps around the lock, a few faint hairline cracks, and general mild wear. Mechanically fine. Estimate: 1,800 - 2,750

  LOT 307 Jover London Marked Flintlock Holster Pistol - NSN, 69 cal., 9 1/8 inch round bbl., bright finish, rosewood stock. Commercial military/ militia style flintlock pistol from the late 18th century. The smoothbore barrel has London Gunmaker’s Co. proofs and “LONDON” marked at the breech. The lock has “JOVER” marked at the center and no bridles. It has a flat dragoon style side plate with what appears to be “CIA” scratched on it. CONDITION: Good with mottled gray and brown patina on the barrel, dark brown patina on the lock, old repairs to the lock, moderate oxidation and pitting, aged patina on the brass, and general moderate overall wear. The stock is good and has general scratches and dings, some filler at the pins, and a thin crack at the breech on the left. Mechanically fine. Estimate: 1,400 - 2,250
LOT 308 British Light Dragoon Flintlock Pistol - NSN, 65 cal., 9 1/8 inch round bbl., bright finish, walnut stock. This Light Dragoon pistol has a smoothbore barrel with London Gunmakers Company commercial proof and view marks. The lock has the Georgian cipher at the center, border engraving, and the later style ring neck cock. A “1786” dated storekeeper’s mark is on the wrist. CONDITION: Very good with gray and brown patina on the lock and barrel along with some minor pitting, aged patina on the brass furniture, and general mild overall wear. The stock is also very good and has some filler by the pommel cap, numerous dings and scratches, and mild edge wear. Mechanically fine.
