as one of a mere 65 in this
configuration making it one
of the rarest post-war Single
Action Armies. Standard
markings and features as well
as matching serial numbers on frame, trigger guard, backstrap, cylinder (“522”), and both grip panels (“522”) and matching assembly number on loading gate and frame. The barrel has the Buntline number “BB2640”. This revolver is pictured on page 80 of Don Wilkerson’s “Colt Single Action Revolver Handbook 1955-1975”, a copy is included, where it is cited as being shipped on March 18, 1959 and shipped to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Includes an unnumbered Colt black box and test target numbered to another gun.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original nickel finish with limited handling marks and a faint cylinder drag line and crisp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent. Box is very fine.

Generation Single Action Army Revolver with Original Black Box - Serial no. 23830SA, 44 special cal., 5 1/2 inch round bbl., nickel finish, original grips. Manufactured in 1959 a one of a mere 124 revolvers in this configuration. Standard markings and features. This revolver is pictured on page 116 of Don Wilkerson’s “Colt Single Action Revolver Handbook 1955-1975”, a copy of which is included, and is noted as being shipped on February 24, 1959. Matching serial numbers are found on the frame, triggerguard, front cylinder face, and backstrap, with a partial serial number “830” inside the right grip. Assembly number “684” marked inside loading gate. Also included is the original black box for the revolver. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original nickel finish with limited handling marks, a light cylinder drag line, and crisp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent.
