Extremely Scarce Documented Colt Second Generation Single Action Army .44 Special Revolver with Original Black Box - Serial no. 38582SA, 44 special cal., 5 1/2 inch round bbl., blue/ casehardened finish, walnut grips. Manufactured
in 1958 as one of less than 30 in this configuration,
making it one of the rarest post-war Single Action
Armies. Standard markings and features as well as
matching serial number on frame, trigger guard,
backstrap, cylinder (“582”), and both grip panels
(“582”) and matching assembly number on the
loading gate and frame. This revolver is pictured on
page 117 of Don Wilkerson’s “Colt Single Action Revolver Handbook 1955-1975”, a copy of which is included,
and is noted as being shipped October 27, 1965. Also included is the original black box for the revolver.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 98% original blue finish and case colors with minimal handling marks and some light cylinder drag lines. Mechanically excellent. Box is very good with tape repairs.

Revolver with Original Black Box - Serial no. 2014SA, 45 LC cal.,
5 1/2 inch round bbl., blue/ casehardened finish, hard rubber grips. Manufactured in 1956. Standard markings and features. This revolver
is pictured on page 51 of Don Wilkerson’s “Colt Single
Action Revolver Handbook 1955-1975”, a copy of
which is included, and is noted as being shipped March 12,1956. Matching serial numbers found on the frame, triggerguard, and backstrap as well as inside the grips (sans suffix). Matching assembly number “74” inside the
loading gate and on the front cylinder face. Also included is the original black box.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 98% plus original blue finish and case colors with limited handling marks, a cylinder drag line, and crisp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent. Box is fair.
