CONDITION: Excellent. This rare Volcanic Navy
pistol is all original and retains 95% of the high
polish blue on the barrel/magazine - wear is
limited to a small area of finish loss on the right
flat near the muzzle and traces of edge wear.
The Volcanic legend on the top barrel flat is extremely sharp. Traces of the delicate gold plated finish are
present on the right side of the receiver, right side plate and beneath the grips. The balance of the receiver
has a handsome, untouched, patina. The receiver and grip screws are in near perfect condition. The bolt and cartridge elevator have 50% of the fiery niter blue finish. Significant amounts of delicate niter blue remain on the loading lever and trigger. The flared walnut grips are in excellent condition with numerous shallow dings visible
on the butt. The grips have 95% of the original piano finish varnish. This is an exceptional example of a scarce and highly desirable Volcanic Repeating Arms Company Lever Action Navy Pistol that would be difficult to improve upon. Provenance: The Mac McCroskie Collection.
Estimate: 30,000 - 50,000
