Very Fine Etched Eickhorn German Army Sword for the 18th Cavalry Regiment - Measuring 37 inches overall, with a 32 inch nickel finished blade with etched decoration on both sides. The left side of the blade scenes of horsemen climbing hills and jumping ditches, flanked by reichadler eagles, and the right etched “Kavallerie Regt. No 18”. Established by the Reichswehr in 1919, incorporating the traditions of multiple Imperial-era cavalry units, the 18th would be split up in 1939 as part of an overall reorganization that saw most German horse units broken up and reassigned as reconnaissance detachments for the infantry. Members of the unit included multiple Knight’s Cross winners and Hans Scholl, who would later be executed for his role in the White Rose student resistance movement. Fitted with a nickel finished hilt, dove-head pommel, green and silver acorn on a leather knot, and a black enamel finished scabbard. CONDITION: Very fine, with light handling marks overall and some scuffing of the scabbard. Provenance: The Paul Crockett Jr. Collection. Estimate: 1,600 - 2,500

Fine World War II Krebs SS Officer’s Sword with Scabbard -
Measuring 37 1/4 inches overall, with a 32 inch blade bearing the Krebs “lobster” logo on the left ricasso, nickel finished steel hilt, oak leaf accent collar on the ribbed hardwood grip, and a set of “SS” sig runes deeply sculpted into the pommel. With a black enamel finished scabbard with blackened metal throat. CONDITION: Fine overall. The blade is bright with some minor handling marks and spotting, areas of brown patina on the hilt, mild flaking of the paint on the grip, and some scuffs and spots on the scabbard. Two Exceptional World War II German Daggers with Sheaths - 1) WMW maker marked dagger, 14 1/2 inches overall with a 9 7/8 inch blade, blackened silver fittings, silver acorn, metal scabbard and silver wire hanger. 2) Eickhorn SA dagger, 13 5/8 inches overall, with a 8 5/8 inch blade bearing the RZM logo over “M7/66/1941”, nickel fittings (no region mark on guard), hardwood grip with eagle and SA medallions, and a brown enamel finished sheath with leather hanger. CONDITION: 1) Very fine, with mild scratching and rubbing on the blade, a few dents on the sheath, and mild handling marks overall. 2) Very fine, with mild spotting and rubbing on the excellent blade, oxidization of the hilt furniture, and mild handling marks overall Provenance: The Paul Crockett Jr. Collection. LOT 1400 Two World War II German Military Swords - 1) Eickhorn Heer lion head pommel sword, 37 1/2 inches overall, 32 1/2 inch blade, yellow anodized furniture, wire wrapped celluloid grip and a black enamel scabbard. 2) SMF Luftwaffe aviator sword, 35 1/2 inches overall, 28 1/4 inch blade with small “eagle” proof, alloy furniture, blue leather wrapped grip and scabbard, with integral leather hanger. CONDITION: 1) Fine, with some minor handling marks overall, scuffing and loose/absent rivets on the hilt, and areas of brown patina on the scabbard. 2) Fine, with scuffing and spotting on the otherwise very fine blade, finish loss on the hilt, and some lost leather. - 1) Dress dagger etched “Ulles fur Deutschland” (All for Germany) and with the RZM logo and “M7/51/1939” on the blade measuring 8 3/4”, 13 3/4” OAL, wood grip with SA logo. Includes black plastic scabbard and hanger. 2) Dress dagger etched “Ulles fur Deutschland” (All for Germany) and with the RZM logo and “M7/27” on the blade measuring 8 3/4”, 13 3/4” OAL, wood grip with SA logo. Includes brown plastic scabbard and RZM branded hanger.
CONDITION: 1) Very fine overall. 2) Excellent overall.
