Luger Semi-
Automatic Pistol - Serial no. 61351, 9 mm para
cal., 4 inch round bbl., blue finish, hardwood grips.
Manufactured between the World Wars for commercial
sale, chambered for the less common 9mm Parabellum.
Fixed sights, with a blank chamber, “DWM” on the
front toggle link, and “crown/N” commercial proofs on the
appropriate parts. The grips and magazine are blank, with the firing pin
numbered “85”, otherwise numbers are matching overall.
CONDITION: Very fine, with 85% plus of the original blue finish, showing bright
wear on the edges, a scuff on the left frame rail, and scattered spotting and
handling marks. 95% refinished straw color is present on the small parts, with strong niter blue on the front toggle pin. The grips are fine, with some staining along the top and mild dings and flat spots. Mechanically excellent.

grips. Fixed sights,
with the chamber area
dated “1940”, and the
Mauser “banner” logo
on the front toggle link.
The “eagle/L” police proof
is stamped on the right
side of the receiver, with
the “eagle/N” commercial
proofmark stamped on the
left side of the receiver and
the breechblock. The sear
safety spring is present over
the side plate, and no cuts have been made for a magazine well safety. Overall
finish is full blue, with a set of checkered grips. The magazine is unnumbered and the hold open numbered “00”, otherwise parts are matching overall. Included with the lot is a brown leather holster marked “KernKlager&Cle/1938/Berlin” on the rear, an extra magazine (number removed, with an “eagle/L” proof still visible on the base), and an unmarked takedown tool.
CONDITION: Excellent, with 90% plus of the original blue finish, showing a mixed brown and gray patina
on the gripstraps, bright edge/high point wear, mild spotting and light handling marks. The grips are also excellent with some minor dings and stains on the crisp checkering, and the holster is very good with some minor scuffs and cracks, with two holes in the flap. Mechanically excellent.

round bbl., blue finish, hardwood
grips. Fixed sights, with “1915” on
the chamber and “DWM” on the
toggle link. Three “Crown/Letter”
proofs are present on the right
side of the barrel extension with
Imperial Eagle firing proofs on the
extension, barrel and breechblock,
proper “GESICHERT” and “GELADEN”
markings on the upper safety
position and extractor respectively,
straw finished small parts, checkered
grips and nickel finished magazine
with a hardwood base. Magazines
are mixed, otherwise numbers are
matching overall. Included with the lot is
a brown leather flap holster With a brown
leather flap holster marked “BREHME/
HILDESHEIM/1915” under the flap, an extra
nickel finished wood base magazine, and a takedown tool.
CONDITION: Very fine, with 85% of the original blue finish, showing areas of brown
patina, bright edge wear, mild spotting and light handling marks. 60% of the original
straw color is present on the small parts, and the grips are also very fine with some minor dings and crisp checkering. The holster is good, with scuffing and cracking appropriate to age and use. Mechanically excellent. Provenance: The Paul Crockett Jr. Collection.

Pistol Rig with 1936 Dated
Holster and an Extra Magazine
- Serial no. 5293H, 9 mm cal., 4 inch
round bbl., blue finish, hardwood
grips. The third year of Mauser Luger
production during the build-up to
WWII, in 1936 the Germans discarded
the letter code system and went back
to just stamping the plain date on
the chamber. Blade front and notch
rear sights, “1936” on the chamber,
“S/42” on the toggle link, “droop-wing
eagle/63” proofs on the extension and
barrel and “eagle” firing proofs on the
barrel, extension, and breechblock. Straw
finished small parts, niter blue springs, pins
and screws, and a blued magazine with
alloy base. The grips are unnumbered and
the extra magazine is mixed, otherwise parts
are matching overall with the “+” marked prim
renumbered to match. Includes a “1936” dated
aforementioned extra magazine, and a blued takedown tool.
CONDITION: Very fine, with 80% plus of the original blue finish, showing the start of a brown patina on the gripstraps, bright edge wear, and mild spotting and handling marks overall. 70% of the original straw finish is present on the small parts, and the grips are excellent with some light dings and dark spots. The holster is very good, with some scuffs, cuts and cracking. Mechanically excellent.
