on the toggle. A set
of “eagle/N” proofs are
present on the extension
and breechblock, and the
“eagle/swastika L” Police
stamp is on the right side of the
extension. The barrel has the alignment
mark and “8,83” diameter measurement but is
otherwise unmarked, and a sear safety has been installed on the extension; no
cuts have been made for a magazine well safety. The barrel and grips are unnumbered, and the magazines are mixed numbers, with the other visible numbers matching. Fitted with a set of checkered grips and
a blued magazine with an alloy base. Included with the lot is a black leather holster marked “A.FISCHER/ BERLINC.2/1942”, a takedown tool, and an “eagle/swastika C” marked extra magazine
CONDITION: Excellent, with 90% plus of the blue finish, showing bright wear along the edges and scattered spotting and handling marks overall. The grips are also excellent, with sharp checkering, minor stains and verdigris buildup. The holster is fine with mild cracks and scuffs. Mechanically excellent.

LOT 1411
DWM 1913 Dated Military Luger Semi-
Automatic Pistol - Serial no. 4641B, 9 mm cal., 4
inch round bbl., blue finish, hardwood grips. Fixed
sights, with “1913” on the chamber and the DWM
monogram on the front toggle. Three “crown/letter”
proofs are present on the right side of the extension,
with Imperial eagle firing proofs on the extension, barrel and breechblock,
and traditional “GESICHERT” and “GELADEN” markings on the lower safety
position and extractor. The magazine is mixed, otherwise numbers are
matching overall, including on the grips.
CONDITION: Very fine, with 95% of the original blue finish, showing bright wear along the high edges, a small amount of spotting on the barrel crown, a tiny ding
on the leading edge of the sideplate, and minor spotting and handling marks overall. Most of the refinished straw color is present on the safety bar and small parts, with vivid niter blue on the sear spring. The grips are also very fine, with a few tiny
dings on the crisp checkering.
Mechanically excellent.

Excellent Mauser “1936”
Date “S/42” Code Luger
Semi-Automatic Pistol
with 1936 Dated Holster -
Serial no. 9642O, 9 mm cal., 4 inch
round bbl., blue finish, hardwood
grips. The third year of Mauser Luger
production during the build-up to
WWII, in 1936 the Germans discarded
the letter code system and went back
to just stamping the plain date on
the chamber. Blade front and notch
rear sights, “1936” on the chamber,
“S/42” on the toggle link, “droop-wing
eagle/63” proofs on the extension and
barrel and “eagle” firing proofs on the
barrel, extension, and breechblock.
Straw finished small parts, niter blue
springs, pins and screws, and a nickel-
finished magazine with alloy base. Minus
the unnumbered grips and magazine,
numbers are matching overall. Includes a
“1936” dated brown leather holster, marked
“WaA387” and “6976” on the back.
CONDITION: Excellent, with 95% of the original blue finish,
showing the start of a brown patina on the gripstraps, mild edge wear and light handling
marks overall. The small parts show 85% of the original straw and niter blue finishes, with a brown patina on the grip screws and the start of a gray patina on the straw components. The grips are very fine, with a crack forming in the right panel and mild dings overall. The holster is good, with cracks and scuffs appropriate to age and use.
Mechanically excellent.

Scarce Simson & Co. Luger Semi-Automatic Pistol wth
Holster - Serial no. 9283, 9 mm
cal., 4 inch round bbl., blue finish, hardwood grips. Manufactured
after the end of World War I and
before the outbreak of World War
II, Simson & Co was for a time the
sole supplier of new-made Luger
pistols to the Weimar government.
Fixed sights, with a blank chamber and
the “SIMSON & CO. Suhl” address on
the front toggle link. Overall proof markings are a combination of “eagle/6” and “WaA66” proofs and “Imperial Eagle” proofs. The small parts are finished in straw and niter blue, with a pair of checkered grips. Includes a brown leather flap holster (converted from Army style strap to Police style strap) marked “C.Friedr.Schulz/ CHEMNITZ/1918” and “L.P.Th.Nr 5”, on the front, with a takedown tool.
CONDITION: Fine, with 70% of the original blue finish,
showing areas of brown patina, edge wear and scattered
spotting and handling marks. 40% of the original straw color is present on the small parts,
the remainder a smooth gray. The grips are fine, with scattered mild dents and dings. The holster is very good and shows some scuffing and cracking. Mechanically excellent.
