Manufactured in 1879.
The top of the barrel has
the two-line Colt Hartford
address and the left side
of the barrel has the
desirable etched panel
marked “COLT NEW 41”.
The right side of the barrel has the retailer inscription
“T.W.WATSON/4. PALL MALL. LONDON.” There are London
proof marks on the underside of the barrel and each
cylinder flute. The serial number is marked on the left
side of the grip frame, bottom of the barrel, and “538” on
the rear face of the cylinder. The left side of the frame is
marked “41CAL C” for centerfire. It is fitted with a pair of
smooth rosewood grips. Includes an oak presentation
case with Watson Bros. interior label, cleaning rod,
screwdriver, key, and oiler.
CONDITION: Fine, 60% of the original blue and vibrant
casehardened finishes remain with the balance having
thinned to mostly a smooth grey patina. The grips are also fine with some scattered minor dings and dents. Mechanically excellent. The case is fine with some slight separation of the lid pieces, a few scattered hairline cracks, and some mild handling/storage wear.

New House Model .38 Spur Trigger Revolver
with Very Scarce Pall Mall, London Barrel
Address - Serial no. 18470, 38 CF cal., 2 1/4 inch
round bbl., blue finish, hardwood grips. One of
approximately 4,000 manufactured from 1880
to 1886, with this example produced in 1884.
The top of the barrel has the very scarce three-
line Hartford and Pall Mall London addresses,
and the “COLT HOUSE 38” etched panel is on the
left. There are British proofs on the barrel and
cylinder. It has standard features and the serial
number is marked on the butt. Includes an oak
case with Peter Small, Newcastle on Tyne retailer
label inside the lid, screwdriver, cleaning rod,
and oiler.
CONDITION: Fine, retains 60% plus of the original blue finish
with the balance having thinned to mostly a brown-grey patina,
primarily on the cylinder and edges, and a few scattered small
patches of light pitting. The grips are also fine with some minor
flaking and handling marks scattered throughout. Mechanically
excellent. The case is fine with some scattered light handling/storage marks. Estimate: 2,250 - 3,500

Trigger Revolver - Serial no. 45531,
22 RF cal., 2 1/4 inch slab sided bbl.,
blue/nickel finish, rosewood grips.
Manufactured in 1877 with the
standard two-line address on top of
the barrel, “COLT NEW 22” on the left
in an etched panel, patent date on
the bottom, and serial number on
the butt. There are London proofs
on the barrel and cylinder. It has
standard features. Includes a leather wrapped case with Colt London Agency
marking on the lining inside the lid.
CONDITION: Fine, retains 40% of the original blue finish with the balance
having thinned to mostly a smooth brown patina and a few scattered patches of light pitting. 95% plus of the original nickel finish remains with some light edge wear. The grips are also fine with a small patch of varnish worn off the right panel, and otherwise minimal handling marks. Mechanically excellent. The case is fine with some light handling/ storage wear.

London Agency Cased Colt House Model “Cloverleaf” Spur Trigger Revolver - Serial no. 5038, 41 RF cal., 3 inch round bbl., nickel finish, hardwood grips. Manufactured in 1873. The top of the barrel has the standard two-line address, patent date in the sighting groove, and the chambers of the cylinder and left of the barrel have London proofs. The matching serial number is marked on the butt and bottom of the barrel. Includes an oak case with Colt London Agency interior label, cleaning rod, key, and thirteen .41 RF cartridges.
CONDITION: Fine, retains 80% of the original
nickel finish, showing some slight frosting, with
the balance having thinned to a smooth grey or brown patina, most noticeably on the cylinder. The grips are also fine with some scattered light dings and scratches. Mechanically needs work as the cylinder does not rotate.. The case is very fine with some scattered light handling/storage marks.

2 1/2 inch round bbl.,
nickel finish, antique ivory
grips. These derringers
were introduced in 1870,
produced until 1912, and
totaled around 48,000
manufactured. The top of
the barrel has a rounded
blade front sight and
“COLT” in large italic letters and the bottom
of the barrel has small British proofs.
This early 20th century example has the
desirable “illegal”/”unauthorized” Colt Pall
Mall barrel address on the left side. The
caliber marking is on the left of the frame
along with a “C” and Rampant Colt. It has
standard features and is fitted with a pair of
smooth grips with the left panel having two scrimshawed crests, a unicorn’s head and an arm clenching a gauntlet. Includes an oak presentation case with Colt London Agency label inside the lid, and key. CONDITION: Excellent, retains 95% of the original nickel finish some a few scattered light dings and some very light flaking on a couple edges. 70% of the original case colors remain on the hammer. The slightly shrunken grips are very fine with a few short hairline cracks around the screw and otherwise minimal handling marks. The case is fine with some scattered minor handling/storage marks.
