Cased Colt Etched Panel New House
.38 Revolver with Scarce Cop and
Thug Grips - Serial no. 20757, 38
CF cal., 2 1/4 inch round bbl., blue/
casehardened finish, hard rubber grips.
Manufactured in 1885. The barrel has
the two-line address on top, showing a
unique factory error/double stamping
and the left side of the barrel is marked
“COLT HOUSE 38” in an etched panel.
The are London proofs on the bottom
of the barrel and in each cylinder flute.
The bottom of the barrel is marked “38”
and the full serial number on the butt. It
has standard features including a pair of the
desirable checkered, hard rubber, “cop and thug” grips. Includes a leather wrapped hard case.
CONDITION: Very good, retains 30% of the original blue finish with the balance having thinned to mostly a smooth grey patina, some scattered patches of light surface oxidation, and a mostly well-defined etched panel. The grips are fine with some scattered light handling marks and otherwise crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The case is very good with some mild handling/storage wear.

Spur Trigger Revolver - Serial
no. 49611, 22 RF cal., 2 1/4 inch
slab sided bbl., blue/nickel finish,
antique ivory grips. Manufactured
in 1877 with the standard two-line
address on top of the barrel, “COLT
NEW 22” on the left in an etched
panel, patent date on the bottom
along with matching serial number
“9611”, and full serial number on the butt. There are London proofs on the barrel and cylinder. It has standard features and is fitted with a pair of smooth grips. Includes a leather wrapped case with a Colt London Agency interior label and 24 .22 RF cartridges.
CONDITION: Fine, retains 80% of the period retailer/agency applied blue and 95% nickel finishes with the balance having thinned to a smooth grey or plum brown patina and a few small scattered patches of very light surface pitting. The slightly undersized grips are fine with a few hairline age cracks around the screw holes and otherwise minimal handling marks. Mechanically excellent. The case is very fine with some mild wear to the corners. Estimate: 1,600 - 2,500

Line .22 Spur Trigger Revolver -
Serial no. 8237, 22 RF cal., 2 1/4 inch
slab sided bbl., nickel finish, rosewood
grips. Manufactured in 1877 with the
standard two-line address on top of
the barrel, matching serial number on
the bottom, and full serial number on
the butt. There are London proofs on
the left of the barrel and cylinder. It has
standard features including smooth
rosewood grips with the serial number
hand marked inside both panels.
Includes an oak presentation case with
Colt London Agency label inside the lid, cleaning rod, and key.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 90% plus of the period retailer applied nickel finish with a few scattered patches of light flaking. The grips are with some minor dings and scratches scattered throughout. Mechanically excellent. The case is very fine with some scattered light handling/storage marks.

British Retailer Cased Colt Second Model Single Shot Derringer - Serial no. 7964, 41 RF cal., 2 1/2 inch irregular bbl., blue/silver finish, walnut grips. Manufactured from 1870-1890 with factory engraved flourishes of floral scroll on both
sides of the frame. There is a faint British proof on
the bottom of the barrel and matching serial numbers on the bottom of the barrel and butt.
The bottom of
the barrel is also
marked “13671/J.R”
It is fitted with
checkered grips that are both hand numbered to the
gun on the inside. Includes an oak case with E.C. Green interior retailer label, screwdriver,
cleaning rod, and oiler.
CONDITION: Very good plus, retains 30% plus of the original blue finish on the barrel and 60% of the vibrant original case colors on the hammer with the balance having thinned to a smooth grey patina and crisp engraving. The grips are fine with some scattered light handling marks, crisp checkering, and retaining almost all of the varnish. Mechanically excellent. The case is fine with some mild handling/storage wear and some scattered minor staining.

Excellent London Agency
Cased Colt Third Model “Thuer”
Derringer - Serial no. 41405,
41 RF cal., 2 1/2 inch round bbl.,
blue/nickel finish, walnut grips.
These derringers were introduced
in 1870, manufactured until
1912, and totaled around 48,000
produced, with this example
having been produced early in
the 20th century. The top of the
barrel has a rounded blade front
sight and “COLT” in large italic
letters and the bottom of the
barrel has small British proofs.
The serial number is on the left of
the grip frame and hand marked in ink inside each grip panel. The caliber
marking is on the left of the frame. Includes a leather wrapped presentation case with gold
embossed Colt London Agency interior label.
CONDITION: Excellent, retains 97% plus of the original blue and nickel finishes with some light muzzle wear and some scattered light handling marks. 95% of the muted original casecolors remain on the hammer. The grips are very fine with a minor chip in the left panel near the screw and otherwise a few scattered light handling marks. Mechanically excellent. The case is very fine with some light handling/storage wear.
