World War II Gustloff Werke “bcd” Code G43 Semi-Automatic Rifle -
Serial no. 2979B, 8 mm cal., 24 inch round bbl., blue finish, laminate stock. Hooded blade front and tangent rear sights, with the matching numbered cast bolt carrier fitted with a solid cocking knob and a catch on the right side. With a synthetic upper handguard and laminated pistol grip buttstock, the latter unnumbered with a brown leather sling and a cupped steel buttplate. One magazine, “aye” marked, is included. CONDITION: Fine, with 80% of the original blue finish, showing areas of brown and gray patina, minor spotting, and light handling marks overall. The refinished stock is very good, with mild scuffs and dents. Mechanically excellent. Provenance: The Paul Crockett Jr. Collection. Estimate: 2,500 - 4,000

World War II German Walther “ac/45” Code K43 Semi-Automatic Rifle - Serial no. 5302C, 7.92 mm Mauser cal., 22 inch round bbl., blue/phosphate finish, laminate stock. Manufactured by Walther (ac) on a rough forged receiver marked “K43 ac/45” on the left. Hooded blade front sight and military tangent rear sight graduated from 100-1200. The bolt carrier is fitted with a reinforcing web, hollow cocking handle, and lacks provision for a bolt catch. Right side mounting rail, unthreaded muzzle, “gcb” code “K43” marked magazine, and cupped trapdoor buttplate. Fitted with a smooth pistol grip laminated stock. Matching serial number marked on the receiver and bolt carrier. Includes a period leather sling.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 80% original combination late war blue/phosphate finish with scattered areas of dried grease and some rough cast areas. Magazine retains 85% original black painted finish. Stock is fine, with a few cracks on the right of the buttstock and some light handling marks. Mechanically excellent. Excellent World War II German Occupation “jhv/44” Code FEG Model 98/40 Bolt Action Rifle - Serial no. 4888B, 7.92 mm Mauser cal., 24 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured during the German occupation of Hungary. Hooded blade front and tangent rear sights, with “jhv/44” on the receiver ring. Matching numbers are present overall, including the bolt, bolt components, trigger guard, floorplate, barrel bands, rear sight and stock. Waffenamt inspection stamps on various components.
Fitted with a smooth pistol grip stock. Includes period leather sling. CONDITION: Excellent, retains 90% plus original blue finish with a few areas of light freckling. Stock is very fine with scattered scratches and nicks, a crack at the top ahead of the buttplate and at the toe, and defined edges overall. Mechanically excellent. World War II German “bnz/43” Code Steyr K98k Bolt Action Rifle with Bayonet - Serial no. 4713K, 7.92 mm Mauser cal., 24 inch round bbl., blue finish, laminate stock. This K98k rifle has the “bnz/43” code of Steyr marked on top of the receiver and was assembled in early 1944 at the Gusen concentration camp in Austria using parts primarily manufactured at the Radom factory in Poland. “Mod. 98” marked on the left receiver wall with “eagle/77” and “eagle/WaA77” stamps on various components. Blade front and tangent rear sights, with a smooth laminated stock and cupped steel buttplate. Matching serial numbers visible on various components. Includes a “39” dated Mundlos bayonet, metal scabbard with leather frog, and period leather sling. CONDITION: Fine, retains 50% original blue finish with thinning to smooth brown patina on the balance, and some areas of scattered light freckling. Stock is also fine
with some light scratches and handling marks, a few scuffs, and defined edges overall. Mechanically excellent. Included bayonet is very fine. Scabbard is good.

Estimate: 1,600 - 2,500 LOT 3350 German Military Proofed Erma 98 Rifle .22 LR Conversion Unit with Case - Serial no. 6621, 22 LR , 26 1/2 inch round bbl., blue finish. Manufactured by Erma, these conversion kits allow a standard K98k rifle to be rapidly reconfigured to a .22 caliber repeater for inexpensive training. One simply removes the original bolt and floor plate, inserts the Erma receiver/barrel sleeve assembly into the K98k receiver, and installs the included magazine well. Waffenamt eagle proofs present on various components. Serial number “6621” marked on the receiver, and the bolt is numbered “6736”. “1936” dated magazine housing and magazine. The entire lot fits in a well cut transport case. “E.L.24” is marked on the receiver as well as “5./J.R.13.10.” (the latter is also repeated on the case). CONDITION: Very fine, retains 75% original blue finish with some scattered small dings on the front of the receiver, with bright surfaces and brown patina on the balance, with some light freckling on the bolt handle. Included case is very good with scattered scratches and handling marks. Mechanically excellent. Provenance: The Paul Crockett Jr. Collection.
