Walther “ac/41” Code P38
Semi-Automatic Pistol -
Serial no. 5243b, 9 mm Luger cal., 4 7/8 inch round bbl.,
blue finish, plastic grips. Fixed sights with “P.38” and
“ac/41” on the left side of the slide, “eagle/359” and “eagle/
swastika” proofs on a number of parts, and matching numbers on
the slide, frame, barrel and locking block. Fitted with ribbed dark
brown plastic grips. The magazine is marked “P.38v” on the side.
CONDITION: Very fine, with 75% of the original blue finish, showing
areas of brown and gray patina, bright edge wear and mild handling marks. The right side of the slide shows a number of light scratches. The grips are very good, with some mild dings. Mechanically excellent.

World War II German Occupation Production Fabrique Nationale High-Power Semi-Automatic Pistol - Serial no. 21248a, 9 mm Luger cal., 4 3/4 inch round bbl., blue finish, plastic grips.
Manufactured during
World War II, fixed front
and rear sights, with
matching numbers and
“WaA140” proofs visible
on the barrel, slide, and frame, and the FN
address/Browning patent markings on the slide. The grips are checkered plastic, and the dinged up magazine is finished in blue and unmarked.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 80% plus of the original blue finish
with the balance having thinned to mostly a smooth grey patina, primarily on the back straps and edges, as well as some scattered spots on top of the slide. The grips are also very fine with some scattered light handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.

Excellent Early Production German Walther PP Semi-Automatic Pistol, Sans Chamber Indicator, with Holster - Serial no. 761280, 7.65 mm auto cal., 3 3/4 inch round bbl., blue finish, plastic grips. Produced
in the 1930s, this Walther PP pistol
lacks provision for a loaded chamber
indicator. While on paper the indicator
was an extra feature, it was popular
enough that most PP/PPK pistols found in the
US have it. Fixed sights with the Walther banner,
two-line address, patent and caliber markings
and “Mod.PP” on the left side of the slide,
“eagle/N” proofs on the chamber hood, slide and
muzzle, and matching partial serial scribed into
the interior of the slide. Fitted with a niter blue
90 degree safety, ring hammer, rectangular
firing pin, checkered Walther banner grips,
and a blued magazine with a correct early
production black plastic finger extension base
(with no cutouts on side). Included with the
lot is an unmarked brown leather holster.
CONDITION: Excellent, with 97% plus original
blue finish, showing some light spotting and
handling marks. The grips are excellent, with
a few minor dings and sharp checkering, and t
holster is very fine, with mild stains and scuffs. Mechanically excellent.

Luger Semi-Automatic
Pistol - Serial no. 2612C, 9 mm Luger cal., 3 7/8 inch round
bbl., blue finish, checkered walnut grips. The top of the
barrel extension is dated 1914, the toggle is marked “DWM”,
the right side of the barrel extension has the three Crown over
Script proofs next to the Imperial Eagle proof and the left side
has the four digit serial number that matches the frame and barrel, with matching numbers on the small parts and wood based magazine renumbered “2612/c”. The Imperial Eagle proof is also marked on the top of the barrel and left side of the toggle. The bottom of the barrel is marked “8.82” below the serial number. The safety and extractor are correctly marked “GESICHERT” and “GELADEN”, respectively. ‘Straw’ colored components. The sights are a fixed front and notch rear. The backstrap has the stock lug. Checkered walnut grips.
CONDITION: Very fine, with 85% of the original blue finish, showing some bright edge wear, small patches of brown patina and scattered spotting. The original straw colors are 60% intact. Grips are very fine, with mild pressure dents. Mechanically excellent.

Automatic Pistol, “ac” Marked
“Blank Slide” Configuration with Military
Proofs - Serial no. 370159P, 7.65 mm auto cal., 3 3/4 inch
round bbl., blue finish, plastic grips. Fixed sights, with the left
side of the slide blank aside from the “eagle/WaA359” military
proof stamp, serial number “370159p” and “ac” Walther code on
the right side, and the matching serial number on the right side of the frame. A set of “eagle/N” proofs are present on the right side of the muzzle, chamber hood and slide. Fitted with checkered black plastic Walther banner grips and a “W” marked magazine with a phosphate finished body and blued flat steel floorplate.
CONDITION: Excellent, with 97% plus original blue finish, showing some bright edge wear and mild handling marks. The grips are also excellent, with a few dings on the checkering. Mechanically excellent.

Holster and Extra Magazine - Serial
no. 3116D, 9 mm Luger cal., 4 7/8 inch
round bbl., blue finish, plastic grips.
Blade and notch sights, with “P.38” and
“ac/42” on the left side of the slide,
“eagle/359” proofs as appropriate, and
matching numbers on the slide, barrel,
locking block and frame. Fitted with a
set of ribbed brown plastic grips and a
blued magazine with “P.38v” on the side
and “eagle/135” on the spine. Included with
the lot is a black leather holster marked
“gxy1942” and an “eagle/359” marked
extra magazine.
CONDITION: Very fine, with 85% of the original
blue finish, showing a plum tint on some areas
of the frame, a brown patina on the frontstrap,
bright edge wear and mild handling marks. The
grips are excellent, with a few light scratches, and the
holster is very good with some scuffs, cuts and scratches. Mechanically excellent. Provenance: The Paul Crockett Jr. Collection.
