Colt Model 1902 Military Semi-
Automatic Pistol with Factory Letter
- Serial no. 41582, 38 ACP cal., 6 inch
round bbl., blue finish, hard rubber grips.
Manufactured in 1919, with a Colt factory
letter identifying it as one of three sent to the B.H. Dyas Company of Los Angeles, California on September 11, 1922. A sporting goods/ department store, Dyas billed itself as “The Most Interesting Store in California”, with a log cabin and a rifle range inside the building. Half- moon front and round-top notch sights and rear serrations on the slide, with the two-line, two-block address and patent dates on the left side ahead of the Rampant Colt, the caliber markings on the right and a matching number on the underside. Fitted with a casehardened spur hammer, royal blue small parts, military configuration slide stop, lanyard swivel, extended grip frame, and a full blue magazine. CONDITION: Extremely fine, with 90% plus of the original blue finish, showing spotting on the grip frame, denser patches of oxidation under and around the grips, bright edge wear, light scratches and mild handling marks. The faded grips are fine, with some light handling marks. Mechanically excellent.

World War I Era Colt Government Model Semi-
Automatic Pistol - Serial no. C92759, 45 ACP
cal., 5 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips.
Manufactured in 1917. The left side of the matching numbered slide
has the standard two-line, two-block patent dates and address followed by the Rampant
Colt behind the serrations, caliber marking on the right, and Government Model marking
over the serial number on the right of the frame. The trigger guard is faintly marked “VP” and
“2” on the left and “K” on the right. Some of the markings appear restamped or slightly light.
The barrel has a polished chamber hood, the balance blued with the matching serial number and “P” stamped on the bottom. Fitted with later production wide pattern fixed blade and notch sights, checkered diamond pattern grips, and a two-tone magazine with lanyard loop base.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 90% of the factory quality refinished blue finish with the balance having thinned to mostly a smooth grey patina, primarily on the mainspring housing and the leading edges of the slide, and a few scattered very small patches of light pitting visible underneath the finish. The grips are also very fine with a few scattered minor blemishes in the otherwise crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.

Pre-World War II Colt Government Model
National Match Semi-Automatic Pistol - Serial
no. C182591, 45 ACP cal., 5 inch round bbl., blue
finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1936, the
left side of the matching numbered slide has the
standard two-line address and patent dates while
the right has the standard National Match and Colt markings followed
by the Rampant Colt. The left of the triggerguard is marked “P/VP” while the right is marked
“60”, and the standard Government Model marking is over the serial number on the right of
the frame. The barrel has a polished chamber with the remainder blue and is marked “COLT
45 AUTO MATCH” on the lower left and “MP” in a circle on the left of the lug. It is fitted with
blade front and adjustable notch rear sights, checkered walnut grips, checkered trigger, slide stop, thumb safety, and wide hammer, and an arched checkered mainspring housing. The two-tone magazine is marked “COLT/45 AUTO” on the base. Includes an extra similar magazine.
CONDITION: Fine, retains 60% plus of the faded original blue finish with the balance having thinned to mostly a smooth grey patina, most noticeably on the grip straps and leading edges of the slide, a few scattered patches of light spotting, and a light takedown mark. The grips are very good with some scattered minor blemishes in the otherwise well-defined checkering. Mechanically excellent.

CONDITION: Excellent, retains 99% plus of the original nickel finish with some scattered light scuffs and handling marks. The grips are also excellent with only the slightest handling marks. Mechanically excellent.

Excellent Colt Model 1903
Pocket Hammerless Semi-
Automatic Pistol - Serial no.
470980, 32 ACP cal., 3 3/4 inch round bbl., blue
finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1927, this
Colt Model 1903 “Hammerless” has the two-line,
two-block patent dates and address marking on the
left side of the slide with the Rampant Colt behind
the serrations on the left side and the two-line caliber
marking on the right side. The left side of the frame
has the serial number, and there are small proofmarks
on the trigger guard. The mostly blued magazine has “CAL. 32/COLT” on the base, and the checkered walnut grips have silver Rampant Colt medallions.
CONDITION: Excellent plus overall with 97% original blue finish. The pistol displays a couple scratches on the slide and otherwise minor handling/storage type marks overall with crisp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent.

Manufactured in 1929 with standard two-line address/patent markings and Rampant Colt on the left of the slide, and caliber marking on the right. The serial number is on the left of the frame with “1/VP” on the left of the trigger guard and “91” on the right. It is fitted with fixed blade and notch sights, and a
