Outstanding Colt New Service Model Double Action Revolver in .45 Long Colt with Original Box and Factory Letter - Serial no. 331728, 45

12 June 1930 with the
standard two-line address
and patent marking on
top of the barrel, model and caliber marking on the left,
and Rampant Colt on the left of the frame. It is fitted with
blade and frame notch sights, checkered trigger and hammer,
lanyard loop on the butt, and a pair of checkered walnut grips with Colt medallions. The included factory letter confirms the current configuration (grips not listed) as well as shipment to Shapleigh Hardware Co. in St. Louis on 11 August 1930. CONDITION: Excellent, retains 98% plus of the original blue finish with only the slightest handling marks, a light cylinder drag line, and crisp markings. The grips are also excellent with only the slightest handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The box is very good with some mild edge wear and a few minor tears.

Colt Officer’s Model Target Double Action Revolver with Case and Factory Letter - Serial no. 563486, 38 Special cal., 6 inch round bbl., blue finish, smooth grips. The accompanying factory letter confirms the 6 inch barrel in .38 caliber, bead front sight, and blue finish with type of stocks not listed. The letter also states the revolver was shipped on March 14, 1931 on order number 19284/25 and delivered to Shapleigh Hardware Co., St. Louis, Missouri. This was a two gun shipment. Elevation adjustable beaded blade front and windage adjustable rear notch sights, standard Colt markings, and smooth grips with silver Rampant Colt medallions. The period French fitted oak case contains a cartridge block holding 18 rounds, brass oiler, cleaning rod, and screwdriver.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 98% plus original blue finish showing a few patches of minor pitting and light cylinder drag line. The slightly shrunken grips are very good showing typical age cracking and some added material along the rear edge near the bottoms. Mechanically excellent. The case is very good with a number of minor-moderate handling-storage marks and some minor high spot wear on the lining. Estimate: 1,800 - 2,750

Exceptional Colt Official Police Model
.38 DA Revolver with Original Box and Factory Letter - Serial no. 694782, 38 Colt cal., 4 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. The Factory letter accompanying this revolver confirms its configuration of, caliber 38 colt, 5” barrel, blue finish, the stocks were not listed. The letter further states this revolver was shipped April 7, 1942 to Canton Hardware Company of Canton Ohio in a shipment of 15 revolvers. The revolver has the Colt blue commercial finish, half moon front blade sight, and square notch rear sight.
The top of the frame is matted and serrated. The hammer and trigger are checkered. The top of the barrel is marked with the two-line Colt Hartford address with 1884, 1905 and 1926 patent dates. The model designation and caliber “COLT/OFFICIAL/POLICE/38” are located on the left side of the barrel. The Colt “VP/ Triangle” proof mark is located on the left side of the frame above the trigger guard. The rampant Colt trademark is stamped on the left side of the frame behind the cylinder latch. Checkered grips with silver Colt medallions. Complete with original Colt hinged lid box.
CONDITION: Excellent with 99% original blued finish with some faint, barely indiscernible turn marks inside the stop notches on the cylinder. The grips are also excellent with sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The box is very good with three of the corners separated. The end label is all intact.

Exceptional Antique Colt 1889 Navy Model
Double Action Revolver with Box - Serial no.
12906, 38 Long Colt cal., 4 1/2 inch round bbl., blue
finish, hard rubber grips. Manufactured in 1894 with
the three-line address and patent date marking
ending with “NOV.6.1888.” on top of the barrel and
the caliber marking on the left. A circled Rampant
Colt is on the left of the frame, the yoke and
cylinder latch have the assembly number “429”, and the serial number is on the butt. Fitted with tall blade and frame notch sights and a pair of the hard rubber grips with “COLT” at the tops. Includes a New Army labeled Colt maroon box. CONDITION: Excellent, retains 90% plus of the bright original high polish blue finish, the cylinder and cylinder latch showing a slight plum hue, some light edge/muzzle wear that is slightly heavy on the lower left frame edge due
to contact with the yoke. The grips are also excellent with a few scattered light handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The box is very good with some moderate wear and staining.

Official Police Double Action Revolver with Factory Letter - Serial no. 696111,
38 Special cal., 5 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. The included factory
letter lists this revolver as having a 5 inch barrel chambered in .38 caliber with
blue finish and grips not listed when shipped to Defense Supplies Corp., Procurement Division, Federal Warehouse in Washington, D.C. on April 3, 1942.
CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 85% plus original blue finish with handling marks and some light scratches. Grips are also very fine with slightly softened checkering and a few minor dings. Mechanically excellent.
