Excellent Documented Special Order Colt New Service Model Double Action Revolver with Very Scarce
Dual Caliber .44 Russian/S&W Special Markings with Factory Box and Letter - Serial no. 332648, 44 Russian S&W special cal., 5 1/2 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut
grips. Manufactured on 14 February 1933 with the standard two-line address and patent dates on top of the barrel. The left side of the
barrel has the model marking and desirable caliber marking “RUSSIAN AND/S&W SPECIAL” and “44”. The Rampant Colt is marked on the left of the frame. It is fitted with blade front and frame notch rear sights, and checkered walnut grips with Colt medallions. The included factory letter confirms the current configuration (grips not listed) as well as shipment to Powell and Clement in Cincinnati, Ohio on 16 February 1933 in a single gun shipment. Includes the original box with extra end label marked “S. & W. CARTRIDGE.”
CONDITION: Excellent, retains 98% plus of the original blue finish with a few scattered light handling marks and a light cylinder drag line. The grips are also excellent with only the slightest handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The box is very good with some moderate wear concentrated on corners and some minor tears.

New Service Target Double Action Revolver
with Factory Letter - Serial no. 5021, 38 special cal., 6 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1900 and subsequently rebarreled to .38 Special years later. The Colt factory rework star is stamped
on the right side of the trigger guard, and the work order number “1230” is stamped on the left side of the grip frame. The frame has a factory quality scroll engraving on a punch dot background, the gold initials “AG” are inlaid on the
top strap in front of the rear sight. Both the barrel and cylinder are not engraved. It has fancy diamond checkered grips, checkered grip straps, trigger, and custom wide low target hammer
spur; windage adjustable rear sight, and fixed serrated blade front sight. The factory letter lists this target revolver with a 7 1/2 inch barrel in .44 Russian, blue finish
and type of stocks not listed when shipped to J.B. Crabtree (address unknown) on August 28, 1900, as part of a 3 gun shipment. The revolver was likely engraved when it went back to the factory.
CONDITION: Very fine as factory reworked (see above), retaining nearly 95% factory refinished blue finish showing minor-moderate holster type wear and crisp grip checkering on the fine quality custom made grips.

Documented Experimental Prototype Colt Trooper MK III Double Action Revolver with Factory Letter - Serial no. GX9690, 357 magnum
cal., 4 inch solid rib bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. The included Colt factory letter identifies this revolver by its serial number as an experimental prototype
revolver with 4 inch barrel kept by the Colt factory. The letter also confirms the caliber, shrouded solid rib barrel, oil-finished checkered walnut grips with nickel
plated Rampant Colt medallion inlays and standard markings which lack the Rampant Colt on the side plate, with the type of finish not listed. Serrated ramp blade front sight and adjustable rear sight. Blue finish with casehardened wide serrated hammer. CONDITION: Excellent. The revolver retains 95% plus original blue finish with some minor muzzle wear and some minor edge wear with the grip straps thinning to a gray. There are some minor handling marks along with a wide cylinder drag line. The grips are fine with some minor dings and scratches and some minor nicks in the overall crisp checkering. Action needs work as it does not function properly in single action. Estimate: 2,000 - 3,000
