chambers with automatic ejectors,
and chokes “VBZ”/”1/2” (improved cylinder/modified). The coin finished scalloped boxlock action displays floral scroll engraving surrounding a pair of hares in a field on the right and a covey of quail on the left along with
the signature “MK” below for Merkel Master Engraver Michael Koch. The gun features bushed firing pins, double triggers, and automatic tang safety. Beautifully figured, multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings and a “1” on the shoe and straight grip stock with Merkel buttplate. Includes an extra matching 28 inch .410 bore barrel set featuring 3 inch chambers with automatic ejectors and chokes marked “1/1”/”1/2” (modified/full). Also includes a canvas and leather takedown case, original box, and shipping boxes. Barrel and stock measurements (R/L): bore diameter nine inches from the breech both proved at 14.0mm (.551 inches) and measure .552 inches; choke constriction .010/.018 inches; 1 3/8 inch drop at comb; 2 1/2 inch drop at heel; 14 1/2 inch length of pull; weight 5 lbs. 7 oz. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and coin finishes with limited handling evidence, some slight discoloration in a few areas in the coin, and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. The case is excellent and the boxes very good. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 7,000 - 9,500

over a pigeon on the underside, and Fausti emblems on the underside and toplever. The gun features a single trigger and tang mounted safety. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered beavertail forend with engraved fittings and gold Fausti logo and straight grip stock with rubber recoil pad. Includes an extra set of .410 bore barrels (numbered “B63815”) which measure 28 inches and have 3 inch chambers with ejectors and modified/full chokes. Also included are three extra 28 gauge chokes (cylinder, improved cylinder, and improved modified) and a factory case that houses the set. Barrel and stock measurements for the 28 gauge set (R/L): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .552/.553 inches; 1 3/8 inch drop at comb; 2 1/8 inch drop at heel; 14 1/2 inch length of pull; weight 5 lbs. 11 oz. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and casehardened finishes with minimal minor handling evidence, a few scuffs at the stock toe, and sharp checkering on the wood. Serial no. 388812, 28 gauge, 28 inch solid rib bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Blued steel barrels with a single brass bead sight on the matted solid rib, 2015 dated German proofs, 70mm (2 3/4 inch) chambers with automatic ejectors, and “VBZ”/”1/2” marked chokes (improved cylinder/modified). The coin grey scalloped boxlock action displays floral scroll engraving which extends to the toplever and trigger guard. The gun features double triggers, bushed firing pins, and tang mounted automatic safety. Attractively figured, multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings, including the Deeley latch release, and straight grip stock with black serrated plastic buttplate. Includes a Steyr-Mannlicher hard case. Stock measurements: 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 1/2 inch drop at heel; 14 1/2 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs 6 oz.
