World War II Era Winchester Model 61 Slide Action Rifle in Scarce .22 LR for Shot Only Caliber - Serial no. 51845, 22 LR Shot cal.,
24 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1942. Single nickel bead sight, Winchester counterbored smooth bore barrel, Winchester “WP” proofs on barrel and correct top grooved receiver at the breech, “W/W” stamped ahead of the trigger guard, matching numbers on the receiver and trigger guard assembly, and smooth trigger. Walnut 17 groove forend and smooth pistol grip stock with checkered blue steel buttplate. CONDITION: Excellent, retains 90% plus of the original blue finish with some slight thinning on the forward portion of the barrel and muzzle revealing a smooth grey patina. The wood is very fine with some scattered minor chips and handling marks. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 3,750 - 5,500

walnut stock. Manufactured in 1947. Beaded blade front and elevation adjustable rear notch sights, model and caliber markings on the upper left barrel flat, Winchester “WP” proofs on the top barrel flat and receiver at the breech, matching numbers on the receiver and trigger guard assembly, smooth trigger, serrated hammer catch, and correct non-drilled upper tang. 17 groove forearm and smooth pistol grip stock with checkered blue steel buttplate. CONDITION: Very fine, retains 80% plus of the original blue finish with some light edge/muzzle wear, extensive cycling wear, and a scattered light speckling of surface oxidation on the receiver and trigger guard. The wood is also very fine with some scattered minor dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,250 - 3,500

Rifle - Serial no. 34904, 30-06 Springfield cal., 24 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1941. Ramped, hooded bead blade front and elevation adjustable rear sights, “.30 Gov’t. 06” barrel markings and Winchester “WP” proofs on the barrel and receiver at the breech, factory drilled and tapped holes on the clover leaf tang receiver with filler screws in place, early style safety, and matching numbered bolt. Mounted in a checkered walnut pistol grip stock with checkered steel buttplate. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue finish with limited handling marks and crisp stock checkering. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,000 - 3,000

Pre-64 Winchester Model 70 Bolt Action Rifle in
Desirable .22 Hornet Attributed to Former Illinois Governor Otto Kerner - Serial no. 13384, 22 hornet cal., 24 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1937. Ramped hooded beaded blade front sight, rear sight dovetail filled, standard barrel markings and Winchester “WP” proofs on the barrel and receiver at the breech, factory drilled and tapped clover leaf tang receiver, matching numbered bolt, and early safety. Checkered walnut pistol grip stock with sling swivels, and checkered steel buttplate. Includes an Anton Cermak Kerner letter stating this rifle previously belonged to his father, former Illinois governor, Otto Kerner who acquired it in 1938 or 1939. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 95% original blue finish on the receiver and barrel with limited handling marks and crisp stock checkering. The trigger guard assembly was refinished during the period. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,000 - 3,000
931. The heavy barrel is fitted with a blade front sight and two scope blocks which are mounted with a Lyman 438 Field scope. The rear receiver ring features an adjustable ladder rear sight marked to 300 yards but adjustable well past. The rifle features standard markings with Winchester proofs on the barrel and receiver. Mounted in a pistol grip walnut target stock with blued steel military style buttplate. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 95% original blue finish with minor handling marks and a couple light dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent. Scope is very fine with a mostly brown patina on the elevation knob, slightly hazy optics and a crisp reticle. Estimate: 2,000 - 3,250

Presentation Cased Winchester 10 Gauge Signal Cannon - Serial no. P102, 10
ga blank. Produced by the Bellmore-Johnson Tool Company under license from Olin Corp. Marked for 10 gauge blanks only and a matching finished “W.R.A.Co.” marked carriage, 6 1/2 inches wide and 11 1/2 inches long. This cannon is the presentation model which features brass barrel and carriage with a polished steel accents. It is marked “P 102” on the left side near the breech. The cannon rests on a wooden base with clasps on the end to act as the bottom of the storage case. The lid case features a plaque reading “Serial #102/Presented To/Jim Stotts”. This cannon is numbered consecutively to another in this auction, LOT 3599.
CONDITION: Excellent with an attractive light patina on the metal surfaces. Case and base are very fine with some storage and handling marks and an attractive patina on the hardware.
