T. Dyer/Heckler & Koch MP5 Submachine Gun, Class III/NFA Fully Transferable Machine Gun - Serial no. H1519, 9x19mm cal., 9 inch round bbl., black finish, synthetic stock. Originally manufactured in 1985 as a semi- automatic carbine, this Heckler & Koch has been reworked into an “MP5” marked submachine gun by T. Dyer. One of the most famous submachine guns in the world, the MP5 has been a go-to military and police weapon for decades, giving users full automatic firepower and closed bolt accuracy. Post front and 4-position drum rear sight, with a triple set of accessory lugs on the muzzle, textured forearm and pistol grip, and a fixed buttstock. The receiver is in the traditional “shelf” pattern for semi-auto HKs, with the “MP5” nomenclature added to the top, the sear number on the left side just behind the magazine well (original receiver S/N: 5856), and the T. Dyer address on the right side of the receiver, concealed by the trigger housing. A paddle lever for the magazine catch has been installed, and the trigger housing bears pictographic markings for “full auto/3-round burst/semi- automatic/safe” on each side. The bolt carrier was 1985 vintage in semi-automatic configuration, with the appropriate geometry added via welding to trip the auto sear, and the trigger pack is configured for an ambidextrous selector, with the serial number on top of the pack.
