Very Scarce Canadian Broad Arrow Proofed Savage Model 1907 Semi-Automatic Pistol - Serial no. 106479, 32 ACP cal., 3 3/4 inch round bbl., blue finish, hard rubber grips. Manufactured c. 1913-1915, this is one of only 500 Savage Model 1907 pistols sold under contract to the Canadian government. A similar example
to this one is pictured on p. 147
of “Savage Pistols” by Bailey Brower, Jr., where it is stated that these pistols were purchased by the Canadian government under contract for military or police use. It has the standard two-line address, patent date, and caliber marking on top of the slide, the “SAVAGE” trademark on the left of
the frame, and the large broad arrow within a
“C” Canadian acceptance mark on the right of
the frame. It has standard features and is fitted with a pair of checkered hard rubber grips with Savage logos at the center.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 75% plus of the original blue finish with the balance having thinned to mostly a smooth grey patina,
primarily in the form of holster type wear. The grips are also very fine with a few scattered
light handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.

Proofed Savage Model 1917 Semi-
Automatic Pistol with Factory
Letter - Serial no. 16853B, 380 ACP
cal., 4 1/4 inch round bbl., blue finish,
hard rubber grips. Manufactured in
1920, it has the standard two-line
address, patent date, and caliber
markings on the top of the slide.
There are British proofs on the left of
the slide, frame, and chamber hood of
the barrel. The included factory letter
lists that the pistol was accepted from
the factory and shipped on 4 March 1920 to Samuel Weinhaus Company. It has standard features and is fitted with a pair of checkered hard rubber grips with Savage logos at the tops. This pistol is pictured on p. 118 of “Savage Pistols” by Bailey Brower, Jr. CONDITION: Very fine, retains 80% plus of the original blue finish with the balance having thinned to a smooth grey patina, primarily on the grip straps and on edges. The grips are also very fine with some scattered light handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.

Very Scarce Documented French Contract Savage Model 1907 Semi- Automatic Pistol with Factory Letter - Serial no. 164357, 32 ACP cal., 3
3/4 inch round bbl., blue finish,
hard rubber grips. Manufactured
in 1915-1916 with the standard
two-line address, patent date, and
caliber marking on the top of the
barrel extension and the Savage
trademark on the left of the frame.
This is one of 30,000-40,000 Model
1907 pistols produced by Savage
under contract for the French
government. It is fitted with blade
and notch sights, a lanyard loop
on the butt, and a pair of Savage logo, checkered, hard rubber grips. The included factory letter lists shipment on 26 October 1916 to l’Administration de’l’Arsenal de l’Armes.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 75% plus of the original blue finish with the balance having thinned to mostly a smooth grey patina, primarily on high spots. The grips are also very fine with a few scattered light handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.

Factory Box - Serial no. 57990, 32 ACP cal., 3
3/4 inch round bbl., blue finish, hard rubber
grips. Manufactured c. 1910-1911, with the
standard two-line address/patent date and caliber markings on top of the slide. It has standard features and is fitted with checkered hard rubber grips with Savage logos at the center. Includes a rare correct Savage factory box.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 80% plus of the original blue finish with the balance having thinned to a smooth grey patina, primarily on high spots. The grips are excellent with a few scattered light handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The box is good with some mild wear, a few tears, and one long edge of the box lid absent.
