Desirable Master Engraved Jules Bury Marked Doppelbuchs Drilling - Serial no. 7721, 35 Cal/ 28 Ga cal., 24 3/4 inch solid rib bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. This Drilling is in the “Doppelbuchsdrilling” configuration, two upper rifle barrels and one lower shotgun barrel. The rifle barrels are 35 caliber and the shotgun barrel is a 28 gauge with a 3 inch chamber and choke measured .034 inches. The
top of the right barrel is marked “JULES BURY” and the left barrel is marked “WAFFEN- FRANKONIA-WUR/BURG” and “ARQSIRE A LIEGE”. The underside of the upper barrel
flats and the bottom of the bottom barrel are marked with several Belgian proof marks, the matching serial number, and “.35 W” on each rifle barrel, quite possibly for .35 Winchester. The barrels are blue and the remaining parts are coin finished. Blade front and dovetailed fixed rear sights on the solid matte rib with ejectors. Boxlock action with side plates. The action is finely engraved with fine scroll patterns and floral accents. The left side depicts two red stags with antlers locked in a wooded scene, the right side has two boars fighting in a wooded scene and there is a bugling red stag in a wooded scene on the bottom. The right sideplate has a boar in a wooded scene and a bugling red stag in a wooded scene on the left side. The toplever has a snipe in flight and the lower tang has a hind eating from a tree branch. All the engraving is finely executed and finely detailed. There is a relief crown on the bottom of the trigger guard. The same fine scroll pattern extends to the trigger guard and forearm hardware. Cross bolt, tang mounted safety with gold markings, double triggers and mounted with a checkered walnut forearm and straight grip stock with tear drop flats and serrated bare butt. Length of pull 14 inches. Weight 8 lbs. 6 oz. CONDITION: Excellent. The barrels retain 98% original blue finish which is thinning to a smooth plum color in places and showing a few minor handling marks. The remaining parts retain almost all of the original coin finish with some areas aged to a smooth dull gray. The wood is very fine with moderate wear to the checkering and overall scattered minor dings and scratches. The markings and engraving are clear. Mechanically excellent. This is an extremely high quality, combination gun that is truly unique in a desirable 28 gauge as it’s secondary chamber! Estimate: 6,000 - 8,000

Bohler steel barrels with a beaded blade front sight, flip-up rear sight, and German claw mounts holding a Zeiss Diavari-ZM 3-12x56mm T* scope on the matted solid rib, 1960 dated German proofs, light
engraving around the upper breech, and import mark under forend. The shotgun barrel has a 2 3/4 inch chamber and choke constriction of .035 inches. The coin finished bolstered boxlock action displays scroll engraving surround a roaring red stag and two hinds on the left and a dog and mallard scene on the right. The gun features double triggers and a tang mounted manual safety switch. Beautifully figured, multi-point checkered three-piece forend with
engraved fittings and pistol grip stock with shadowline cheekpiece and leather covered recoil pad. Included is a set of matching numbered 28 inch 16 gauge barrels with 2 3/4 inch chambers and choke constrictions of .028/.032 inches. Also included is a modern semi-rigid takedown case that fits the entire set. Length of pull 14 13/16 inches. Weight 9 lbs. 5 oz. with scope. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue finish, 95% plus original coin finish, some minor discoloration in the coin, minor handling evidence, a few marks in the wood, and sharp checkering on the wood. The scope optics are sharp. The case is very fine. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 5,500 - 7,500

Blued Bohler Steel Barrel with ramped beaded blade front sight, fixed rear sight, and German claw mounts holding a Schmidt & Bender 6x42mm Klassik scope on the matted solid rib, import mark under forend, and 1981 dated
Italian proofs. The bolstered coin finished action displays beautifully executed floral and scroll engraving with the signature “INC. COLOSIO.” on
the triggerplate. The rifle features double set triggers and a manual tang safety. Beautifully figured, checkered forend with engraved fittings and pistol grip stock with cheekpiece, black grip cap, and red
rubber recoil pad. Length of pull 14 13/16 inches. Weight 8 lbs. with scope. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 97% plus professionally reapplied blue finish, 98% original coin finish, mild handling evidence, and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. The scope optics are sharp. Mechanically functions fine, however, toplever will not return to center.
