Excellent Factory Master M. Magis Signed and Engraved Gold Inlaid Belgian Browning BAR Grade V Semi-Automatic Rifle - Serial no. 70328M70, 30-06 cal., 22 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1970. This example features a tapered barrel manufactured with beaded blade front and folding leaf rear sights. The left side
near the breech is marked with the one line
address over “MADE IN BELGIUM”, and the caliber designation and “BROWNING PATENTS”
are on the right side. Each side of the receiver is engraved with scenes with three gold inlaid animals (antelope on left, deer on right) with a gold inlaid wire border. Surrounding
the scenes is a floral vine design with a punch dot background. The same floral vine design is on the bottom of the magazine and trigger guard. The receiver is signed “M MAGIS” on the left side. The top of the receiver has a matte finish and is factory drilled and tapped for scope mounting. Mounted in a nicely figured floral scroll carved forearm and pistol grip stock with sling swivel studs and Browning buttplate. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue finish with minimal handling marks mostly near the stock toe, and crisp engraving and stock checkering. Mechanically excellent. Desirable F. Marechal Triple Signed Factory Master Game Scene Engraved Belgian Browning Olympian Grade Bolt Action Rifle - Serial no. 55143L69, 7 mm Rem Magnum cal., 24 inch round bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Blued steel barrel with ramped beaded blade front sight, adjustable folding rear sight, standard markings, and 2 inch wedges of floral scroll engraving on either side of the breech. The coin finished action displays beautiful floral scroll engraving as well as a two game scenes on the receiver ring. The left side shows a moose in a marsh setting and the right has an elk bugling in a forested scene. The bottom metal shows the same floral scroll engraving with a standing grizzly bear engraved on the magazine floorplate and a mountain lion on the trigger guard. The gun is signed “F.MARECHAL” on both the left and right sides of the receiver ring and on the floorplate for Browning Master Engraver Francoise Marechal. The gun is mounted in a beautifully figured, fancy checkered walnut stock with contrasting forend tip, “R.C.R.” in an inscription diamond on the contrasting grip cap, and ventilated browning recoil pad. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 99% plus original blue and coin finishes with limited handling evidence and discoloration on the bolt body. The wood is very fine with a few dings and scratches and sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
