Automatic Rifle - Serial no. 42484, 35 Rem cal., 22 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Produced in the Remington Factory Custom Shop, a Premier Grade firearm starts with a full set of fresh components, which are then hand-fitted and assembled by a master gunsmith, subjected to engraving and embellishment representing up to an entire week of a skilled engraver’s labor, and finished off with a set of top quality hardwood furniture, in this case an attractive checkered pistol grip walnut stock. Extensive engraving is present on the receiver, chiefly scroll designs with textured backgrounds, which extends down the trigger guard and magazine while showing a number of floral accents, and game scenes on the sides. The left side is engraved with a running buck in an open field scene. The right side is engraved with bear in a mountain scene. Both the forearm and stock are finely checkered, with the forearm featuring a sling swivel, a multi-point checkered pistol grip, blank inscription oval, and hard rubber Remington-UMC pistol grip cap and buttplate.
