Shotgun - Serial no. C11064B, 12 gauge, 28 inch vent rib bbl., blue/ coin finish, walnut stock. Blued
  Bohler Antinit steel barrels with orange front sight on the matted vent rib, standard 1987 dated
Italian proofs, some light engraving near the breech, and chambers marked 2 3/4 inches with automatic ejectors. The coin finished sidelock action displays very tasteful light scroll engraving with “S.O.4” on the lower tang and “SKEET” inlaid in silver on the triggerguard.
The gun features a single trigger and tang mounted safety/selector switch. Beautifully figured, multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings and pistol grip stock with right hand palm swell and a Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad. Barrel
and stock measurements (U/O): bore diameter nine inches from the breech both proved at 18.4 mm (.724 inches) and measured .727/.726 inches; choke
constriction .000/.000 inches; minimum wall thickness .035/.035 inches; 1 5/16 inch drop at comb; 2 1/8 inch drop at heel; 14 9/16 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs. 14 oz. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 98% original blue and coin finishes with limited minor handling evidence. The wood is very fine with a some scattered minor dings and scratches and sharp checkering. Factory Game Scene Engraved Beretta 28 Gauge Model S687 EELL Diamond Pigeon Sporting Over/Under Shotgun with Case and Extra Barrel - Serial no. L96034B, 28 gauge, 26 1/2 inch vent rib bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Blued Excelsior steel barrels with a single steel bead sight on the matted vent rib, 1998 dated proofs, 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors, and interchangeable chokes (improved cylinder/modified installed). The coin finished action displays scroll engraving surrounding a pair of mallards on the left, a trio of woodcocks on the right, and a woodcock on the underside and features a single gold trigger and tang mounted safety/selector. The triggerplate is signed “Bottega C. Giovanelli”. Beautifully figured, multi-point checkered Schnabel forend with engraved fittings and pistol grip stock with Beretta recoil pad. Includes a factory takedown case, three extra choke tubes (28 gauge improved cylinder and full as well as a .410 bore full), and an extra non-matching set of .410 bore barrels with 3” chambers and interchangeable chokes (full/modified installed) Bore and stock measurements: Bore 9 inches from the breech .549/.549 inches; 1 9/16 inch drop at comb; 2 3/8 inch drop at heel; 14 3/8 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs. 4 oz. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue and coin finishes with minimal handling marks, crisp engraving, and crisp stock checkering. Mechanically excellent. Case is very fine. LOT 1525 Bottega C. Giovanelli Game Scene Engraved Beretta 20 Gauge Model 687 EELL Over/Under Shotgun - Serial no. F90754B, 20 gauge, 26 3/8 inch vent rib bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Blued Excelsior steel barrels with single bead sight on the matted vent rib, standard Beretta markings and 1991 dated Italian proofs, interchangeable chokes (skeet/improved cylinder installed), and chambers marked 3 inches with automatic ejectors. The coin finished sideplated action displays extensive floral scroll engraving surrounding a trio of pheasants in an upland scene on the left side and a pair of woodcocks on the right. The trigger plate is signed “Bottega C. Giovanelli” for the famous engraving firm. The gun features a single gold trigger and a tang mounted safety/selector switch. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings and pistol grip stock with blank inscription oval and Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad. Barrel and stock measurements (U/O): bore diameter nine inches from the breech both proved 15.8 mm (.622 inches) and measured at .625 inches; minimum wall thickness .033/.034 inches; 1 7/16 inch drop at comb; 2 3/16 inch drop at heel; 14 9/16 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and coin finishes with limited handling evidence and sharp checkering on the wood. Mechanically excellent.
