Factory Master Jana Schilling Signed, Game Scene Engraved, and Gold Inlaid Krieghoff Model K-80 Over/Under Shotgun with Case
- Serial no. 080055, 12 gauge, 32 inch vent rib bbl., blue/silver nitride/gold finish, walnut stock. Dual bead sights on the matted vent rib, standard Krieghoff markings, 2016 dated German proofs,
3 inch chambers with automatic ejectors, and
interchangeable chokes tubes (K1/skeet installed).
The silver nitride finished action displays Krieghoff’s “Hertiage Game Scene I” pattern consisting of gold wire inlaid borders around beautifully cut
floral scroll engraving with areas of deep blackened background creating an attractive high contrast surrounding oval game scenes on either side.
The left side of the actions shows a pair of pointers flushing a rooster pheasant in a field at the edge of the woodline and the right side shows a trio
of quail flushing from cover in a field scene. The underside of the action has scroll surrounding a gold inlaid shield with gold lettering reading “K-80/ KRIEGHOFF/GERMANY”. The gun is signed on the triggerplate to the right of the triggerguard by Master Engraver Jana Schilling with simply her name.
The gun features a single selective gold trigger and a tang mounted manual safety switch. Exceptional, highly figured, multi-point checkered Schnabel
tip forend with engraved fittings and pistol grip stock with right hand palm swell, adjustable comb, and Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad. Included is a
factory takedown case, stock removal tool, and four extra choke tubs (light modified, two light improved modified, and improved modified). Barrel and stock measurements (U/O): bore diameter nine inches from the breech both proved at 18.6mm (.732 inches) and measured at .735/.735 inches; minimum wall thickness .0410/.041 inches; 1 9/16 inch drop at comb; 2 9/16 inch drop at heel; 14 7/16 inch length of pull; cast-off; weight 8 lbs. 13 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue, silver nitride, and gold finishes with limited handling evidence and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. Mechanically excellent.
