Finely Engraved Belgian Double Action Pinfire Revolver with
Unique Chaubert Patent Folding Bayonet - Serial no. 17, 11 mm
cal., 6 1/4 inch round bbl., bright finish, walnut grips. This unique Belgian
revolver features a 4 1/2 inch side folding bayonet, and floral scroll and
border engraving on the frame, cylinder, top strap, trigger guard and grip
straps. “CHAUBERT/17CD” and a small fleur-de-lis above an “x” marked on the blade with matching number “17” marked on the folding rib underneath the barrel. “E/LG” Liege proof on the cylinder, “Crown/x” proof on the cylinder and right of the barrel lug. “HT” stamped on the underside of the left grip panel.
    Knife and Holster - Serial no. 13616, 11 mm cal., 5 7/8 inch octagon bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. This revolver is based on one of the many Lefaucheux designs which dominated the world of pinfire revolvers in the late
19th century. This example appears to be completely unmarked but is of very fine craftsmanship. There are flourishes of finely executed floral scroll engraving
on the frame, grip straps, cylinder,
barrel, and barrel lug. It is fitted with
a tall pinched blade front sight and notch
rear sight, both dovetailed on the barrel. The barrel is also fitted with an under rib to which is mounted a fold out spearpoint bayonet/knife, the blade of which measures 5 3/8 inches, and an ejector rod is mounted on the right of the barrel lug. It is fitted with a pair of checkered walnut grips. Includes a checker patterned leather holster. CONDITION: Very fine, retains 85% plus of the bright original high polish blue finish with the balance having thinned to mostly a smooth grey-brown patina, primarily on handling areas, some scattered light spotting,
and crisp engraving. The grips are excellent with a few scattered light handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent in double action only. The holster is good with extensive exterior wear.

Black painted checkered walnut grips. CONDITION: Very fine, retains 80% plus attractive high polish original blue finish strongest on the barrel with the cylinder and trigger guard flaking to a smooth brown patina on the balance, and 90% plus vivid original case colors on the frame with some light fading/ freckling on the grip straps. Grips are also very fine with defined checkering and some light handling marks. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 1,800 - 2,750

Very Fine and Unique Belgian Henrion,

British 1882 Dated Enfield Mk. I Double Action Revolver -
Serial no. 4847, 476 CF cal., 6 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Introduced in the 1880s, the Enfield was accepted by both the British Army and the North-West Mounted Police of Canada. Built around a hinged receiver, the Enfield auto-ejects empty casings on opening but had to be reloaded one round at a time via loading gate. It would be phased out of military service about 1898 and stayed in law enforcement use as late as 1911. The right of the frame is dated “1882” and there are small “crown/VR” proofs on various parts, as well as a “(broad arrow)/WD” War Department proof on the left side of the frame. There are opposing broad arrow “out of service” proofs on the left of the frame and barrel lug. It is fitted with blade and top strap groove sights, a smooth walnut grip, and a lanyard loop on the butt. CONDITION: Fine, retains 70% of the original blue finish with the balance having thinned to a smooth grey patina, most noticeably on the grip straps and in the form of holster wear. The grip is also fine with minor dings and scratches scattered throughout and a hairline crack near the butt. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,000 - 3,000
