War II Colt Shooting
Master Double Action
Target Revolver in Scarce .357 Magnum - Serial no.
348192, 357 magnum cal., 6 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut
grips. Manufactured in 1940 as one of only 500 believed to have
been manufactured in .357 Magnum. Featuring elevation adjustable
blade front and adjustable King patent marked rear sights. The left of the barrel is marked “COLT SHOOTING MASTER .357” and the top with the two-
line Colt marking. The frame features the Rampant Colt on the left side and
the grip straps are checkered. Fitted with a King Cockeye Hammer and a pair of checkered walnut grips with Colt medallions.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 95% plus original blue finish with some wear at the muzzle,
cylinder front face flash marks. The grips are very fine with a small chip at the left panel toe and

Box is fine with some small discolored spots, corner and edge wear, and weakening at the hinge.

650838, 38 Special cal., 6 inch vent rib bbl., blue finish, plastic grips. Manufactured in 1940. Equipped with Colt-King Super Target ventilated rib, changeable front sight (currently a King Patent marked blade), reflecting
mirror, adjustable square notch rear sight, King cockeyed checkered
hammer, finely checkered trigger. Matching numbers on the yoke and crane with standard markings on the barrel and frame. With checkered right hand thumbrest target grips. Includes a generic hard case and an extra set of reproduction walnut Colt medallion grips
CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 90% original blue finish with some handling marks, two concentric cylinder drag lines, and some scattered light spotting. The ill-fitting period custom grips are very fine with crisp checkering.

631564, 38 Special cal., 6 inch vent rib bbl., blue finish, walnut
grips. Manufactured in 1939 and Colt-King subsequently upgraded
to the current configuration. The barrel is fitted with a Colt-King
Super Target marked vent rib with red insert target sight with reflector
inlaid into the rib, fully adjustable rear sight, King Cockeyed Hammer
(marked), and walnut checkered grips with Colt medallions.
CONDITION: Very fine as Colt-King upgraded, retaining 85% plus original blue finish with handling marks, scattered spots of surface oxidation, some pitting concentrated on the cylinder, and crisp grip checkering.

Manufactured in
1932 with a high
half moon blade front, and frame notch rear sights. Top
of barrel is marked with the two line address and patent
dates. Left side of barrel is marked with caliber and model
designation. Front left trigger guard bow is marked with
the standard “VP” proof with a single “3” on the rear of the
trigger guard. Fitted with checkered walnut grips with
inset silver Colt medallions. Includes original Colt box hand
numbered to the gun, “Special Instructions” pamphlet, and caliber hang tag.
CONDITION: Excellent in original box with 99% plus original Colt blue finish and only minimal handling marks. Grips are also excellent with crisp checkering, minimal handling marks and a small amount of verdigris at the screw bolster. Box is very fine with clear external labels. Mechanically excellent.
