CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 99% original blue and coin finishes with minor handling evidence, and a slight spot of oxidation below the forend. The recoil pad is deteriorating, otherwise the wood is very fine with a few small marks and sharp checkering. The case is fair. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 4,500 - 7,500

Factory Game Scene Engraved Armas Garbi 20 Gauge Hand Detachable Sidelock Double Barrel Shotgun - Serial no. 14600, 20 gauge, 26 inch solid rib bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Blued barrels with single steel bead sight on the smooth concave solid rib which is marked “ARMAS ‘GARBI’ EIBAR”, chokes marked improved cylinder/modified, and 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. The coin finished hand detachable sidelock action displays a trio of mallards on the left, a pointer flushing a trio of quail on the right, a single bird on the underside, and a setter holding a mallard on the triggerguard. The gun features double triggers, bushed firing pins, and an automatic tang safety with gold “S”. Nicely figure, multi-point checkered splinter forend with engraved fittings and straight grip stock with
teardrop flats and checkered bare butt. Stock measurements: 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 1/8 inch drop at heel; 14 11/16 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs. 2 oz. Blued steel barrels with a single brass bead sight on the matted solid rib, import mark under forend, both chokes mark 1mm (.039 inches), and 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. The coin finished sidelock action displays attractive relief engraved fences and extensive floral scroll engraving on the receiver and lockplates. The gun features double triggers, bushed firing pins, and a manual tang mounted safety.
