      LOT 3649 Shiloh-Sharps Model 1874 Single Shot Rifle - Serial no. 3586B, 45-120 cal., 34 inch heavy octagon bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in Big Timber, Montana. The barrel is fitted with globe spirit gauge front sight and semi-buckhorn folding ladder rear sight with scope blocks mounted in the middle and towards the breech with “Shiloh-Sharps Model 1874” ahead of the rear sight and “Calibre 45/3 1/4” behind it. The casehardened receiver bears the Shiloh address on the left side and is fitted with double set triggers. Mounted in an exceptionally well-figured walnut Schnabel tip forend and straight grip stock with shadowline cheekpiece and casehardened checkered steel buttplate. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue finish and case colors with limited handling marks and a few miniscule patches of spotting

Manufactured in Big Timber, Montana. The barrel is fitted with blade front, buckhorn rear, and long range tang peep sights with the Sharps “Old Reliable” marking between the sights, C. Sharps address behind the rear sight, and “50 3 1/4” caliber marking ahead of the receiver. The casehardened action with double set triggers is mounted in a nicely figured forearm and pistol grip buttstock with pewter forend cap, shadowline cheekpiece, and casehardened, checkered metal shotgun buttplate. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue finish and case colors with limited handling marks and crisp grip checkering.

Sharps address behind the rear sight, and “38-55” caliber marking ahead of the receiver. The greyed receiver is mounted in a wonderfully figured walnut forend and pistol grip buttstock with pewter forend cap, shadowline cheekpiece, and Neidner shotgun buttplate. Includes a Marbles tang sight. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue finish on the barrel with limited handling marks and some light spotting on the lever. Sharps address behind the rear sight, and “45 3 1/4” caliber marking ahead of the receiver. The casehardened action with double set triggers is mounted in a wonderfully figured forearm and buttstock with pewter forend cap, shadowline cheekpiece, and casehardened, checkered metal shotgun buttplate. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 99% plus original blue finish and case colors with limited handling marks and an attractive plum coloration to the rear sight. Stock is very fine with some handling marks and wood grain cracks on the cheekpiece. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 1,600 - 2,500

Fitted with globe front and short range tang mounted peep rear sights with a dovetail filler block in place of the rear sight, Sharps “Old Reliable” between the front sight and filler block, C. Sharps address behind the filler block, and “45 2 1/10” caliber marking ahead of the receiver. The greyed receiver is mounted in a straight grain walnut forend and buttstock with pewter forend cap, and shadowline cheekpiece. Includes an extra buttstock with shadowline cheekpiece and casehardened checkered shotgun butt, as well as a German silver blade front sight, buckhorn rear sight, and long range tang sight with Hadley eyecup. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 99% plus original blue finish on the barrel with limited handling marks and some light spotting on the receiver. Wood is very fine with a few minor dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 1,600 - 2,500

The greyed action is fitted with a single set trigger and is mounted in a nicely figured walnut forearm and pistol grip stock with pewter forend cap, shadowline cheekpiece, and checkered steel shotgun buttplate. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 99% plus original blue finish on the barrel with limited handling marks, and the beginnings of an attractive patina on the action.
