Outstanding Factory Master Robert P. Runge Signed, Engraved, and Gold Inlaid Remington Model 760F “F Grade” Slide Action
Rifle - Serial no. A6958800, 30-06 Springfield cal., 22 inch round bbl., blue/gold finish, walnut stock. Blued barrel with ramped beaded blade front
sight, elevation adjustable island rear sight, standard factory markings, and a 2 1/2 inch wedge of floral scroll engraving at the breech extending towards
the muzzle. The blued receiver displays highly attractive near full coverage floral scroll engraving with very nice use of negative space to create contrast
and surrounding a multitude of game scenes. The top of the action shows a big horn ram with the rest of the scenes executed in fine semi-relief gold inlay. The left
side of the action exhibits a trio of scenes including a grizzly bear at the front, a running mule deer buck in the center, and a mountain goat at the rear, while the right side shows a cougar at the rear, a bugling elk in the center, and a bighorn ram at the front all in their respective environments. The receiver is signed “RPR76” beneath the mule deer for highly regarded Remington factory Master Engraver Robert Phoenix Runge. Highly figured, multi-point checkered forend with ebony tip and pistol grip stock with blank gold inscription oval and factory grip cap and buttplate.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and gold finishes with limited handling evidence and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. Mechanically excellent.
