Meetings. The letter further remarks that this revolver, which was pictured on the cover of
the 2014 Colt catalog, is a pre-production sample of a limited run of 50 commemoratives
for Sam Colt’s 200th birthday. It further notes that the revolver was donated to the 2015
NRA Annual Meetings by Colt to benefit the National NRA Foundation. The revolver features
a factory “Class B+” floral scroll engraving, gold inlay borders on the muzzle and back of
cylinder, 24 karat gold plated trigger, hammer, and screws, a gold inlaid “Samuel Colt”
signature on the right of the barrel, a gold inlaid portrait of Sam Colt and the “Colt Dome”
on the cylinder, a detailed engraved and gold inlaid “rampant colt” on top of the back strap with “1814 - 200th ANNIVERSARY - 2014” running down the back. The revolver was engraved by Rob Bunting who has signed the butt. Bunting had his start as a jeweler’s goldsmith and later a coppersmith before becoming an engraver for Sturm, Ruger & Co., now working for Baron Engraving. Includes original white shipping box and Colt blue box.
CONDITION: Excellent overall as a pre-production Colt commemorative engraved by Rob Bunting, retaining 99% plus of original
royal blue finish with minimal handing marks and a faint cylinder drag line. Mechanically excellent. The box is very fine. A stand out piece for any Colt single action collection!

Larry Peters Signed and Factory Engraved Colt Third Generation Single Action Army Revolver with Factory Letter and Case - Serial no. S27375A, 45 Long Colt cal., 4 3/4 inch round bbl., nickel finish, original grips. Manufactured in 2000. The included factory letter confirms the revolver’s current configuration with .45 Long Colt chambering, 4 3/4 inch barrel, grip material, grips with nickel medallions, nickel finish, and factory class “C” expert level engraving, including the front sight as performed by Larry Peters. Signed “E. L. PETERS ENGR” around the cylinder pin. The engraving consists of floral scroll covering 85% of the entire revolver, with punch mark backdrop. It was shipped on October 13, 2000, to RSR Wholesale in Winter Park, Florida, as a lone shipment. Matching numbers on the frame, trigger guard, and back strap under the left panel, along with a boxed “FEGA” stamp. A partial matching number “375” is stamped on the back face of the loading gate and front cylinder face. Includes a maroon lined French fitted mahogany Colt case. CONDITION: Excellent overall as factory embellished by Larry Peters, retaining 99% plus of the original Nickel finish with minimal handling marks and a faint cylinder drag line.
