1906 Commercial American Eagle Luger Semi-
Automatic Pistol - Serial no. 45769, 7.65 mm Luger
Auto cal., 4 5/8 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips.
These American Eagle pistols were made explicitly for export
to the United States and were sold in sporting goods stores
and catalogs throughout the country. Fixed sights, with the
American Eagle on the chamber, “DWM” on the front toggle link,
and the “GERMANY” import mark on the front of the frame. The extractor is marked “LOADED”, and the lower safety position is polished bright. All of the visible numbers are matching in the “commercial” style, with unnumbered grips and magazine base. CONDITION: Excellent, retains 90% plus original blue finish with some light edge wear, and 60% original straw colors on the small components. The grips are also excellent with distinct checkering. Mechanically excellent.

The distinctively Swiss features include the lack of knurling or checkering on the takedown lever, safety, magazine release, and the cocking knobs on the toggle. The grip safety is also longer than the German 1906 and

78712, 7.65 mm Luger Auto cal., 3 3/4 inch round
bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. The top of the chamber
area is blank with the DWM logo on the front toggle. Lightly export stamped “GERMANY” on the right of the frame. The barrel extension, underside of the barrel and left side of the breech block “Crown/N” commercial proof marks. Matching serial numbers visible on various components, with unnumbered standard checkered walnut grips and nickel plated magazine with an unmarked walnut base.
CONDITION: Excellent, retains 95% plus original blue finish and 80% straw finish on the small components. The grips are also excellent with crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.

CONDITION: Very fine, retains 85% original blue finish with a few small areas of light wear. The grips are excellent with crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Included holster is very good.

Excellent Swiss Bern Model 1906/24 Luger
Semi-Automatic Pistol - Serial no. 20837,
7.65 mm Luger Auto cal., 4 3/4 inch round bbl.,
blue finish, walnut grips. This is one of 17,874 Model
1906/24 pistols manufactured by Waffenfabrik Bern for the Swiss military between c. 1924-1933. Blank chamber with the front toggle marked with
a Swiss cross above “WAFFENFABRIK/BERN”. The right of the barrel extension
has a small Geneva Cross and the left side has a small “+/M” marking. A small Geneva Cross is also present on the barrel, breech block and frame. The grips are the checkered variation with smooth borders, and the nickel finished magazine has an unmarked hardwood base. All visible serial numbers are matching. CONDITION: Excellent, retains 97% original blue finish and 85% straw finish on the small components. The grips are also excellent with some light handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
