Exceptional L. Cargnel Signed, Master Engraved, and Gold Inlaid Pachmayr Upgrade Winchester Model 21 Trap Double Barrel Shotgun - Serial no. 24917, 12 gauge, 30 inch vent rib bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. This highly attractive, elaborately embellished Winchester Model 21 features dual bead sights on the matte vent rib marked “PACHMAYR CUSTOM” in gold, 2 3/4 inch chambers, automatic ejectors, and full chokes. The muzzle and breech ends of the barrels feature fine scroll engraving with thin gold wire inlaid bands. The jeweled water table has the three-line model/address marking. The receiver and added side plates feature engraved scrollwork and very fine gold inlaid waterfowl scenes. The right side features four gold inlaid wood ducks, with the left side featuring four gold inlaid pintails. The underside of the receiver has a gold inlaid wood duck taking flight away from the viewer amongst the scrollwork and is marked “TRAP.” A gold inlaid shield with a duck’s head on top and vine surrounding it is featured on the trigger guard. Master Engraver L. Cargnel has signed his work near the gold washed single trigger with selector. The serial number on the upper tang is in flush gold.
The action also has a manual tang safety. Nicely

at 9 inches from breech R-.728/L-.729; bore constriction R-.034(full)/L-.034(full); minimum wall thickness R-.025/L-.030; drop at comb 1 1/2 inches; drop at heel 2 1/4 inches; length of pull 14 3/8 inches. CONDITION: Exceptionally fine as Pachmayr upgraded and embellished by Master Engraver L. Cargnel. 99% plus of the high quality blue finish remains showing limited handling evidence. The wood is very fine with an area of discoloration on the forearm, otherwise limited handling evidence and sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
