Barrel and stock measurements for the primary set (R/L): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .615/.616 inches; choke constriction .008/.013 inches; minimum wall thickness .027/.025 inches; 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 inch drop at heel; 14 3/8 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs 14 oz. CONDITION: Very fine overall as professionally refurbished, retaining 98% plus blue finish with minor handling evidence. The wood is very fine with a few scattered light marks and sharp checkering. The extra barrel is also very fine and the case is very good. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 5,000 - 7,500
LOT 482 World War I Era Winchester Model 1897 Slide Action Riot Shotgun - Serial no. E641324, 12 gauge, 20 1/2 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1916. Single brass front sight bead. The action bar is roll-stamped “MODEL 1897/-WINCHESTER-/TRADE MARK REG. IN U.S.PAT.OFF.”” in three lines, and the barrel is marked “12 GA.” and “CYL” along with the Winchester address and patent information. Oval Winchester “W/P” proofmarks are stamped on the top of the barrel and the receiver. The serial number “E/641324” is roll-stamped across the bottom of the receiver. No U.S. Ordnance marks are present on the gun. Mounted with an 18-groove forend and smooth pistol grip stock fitted with a checkered hard rubber Winchester buttplate. Length of pull is 13 13/16 inches.
CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 75% original blue finish, scattered freckling, and overall mild handling evidence. There is a chip at the toe of the buttplate, otherwise the wood is also very fine. Mechanically functions, but slide does not fully retract. Estimate: 1,600 - 2,500

at the toe of the revarnished stock. Mechanically excellent.
    LOT 483 Washington State Police Winchester Model 12 Slide Action Riot Shotgun - Serial no. 1741238, 12 gauge, 21 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1957. Single bead sight on the blued barrel, Winchester “WP” proof, 2 3/4 inch chamber, and choke marked cylinder. The blued receiver shows the Winchester “WP” proof and is marked “WASHINGTON STATE PATROL” on the left side. Straight grain 14-groove forend and pistol grip stock which is marked “S46”, likely a State Patrol inventory number.
 LOT 484 Winchester Model 1897 Slide Action Shotgun - Serial no. E912895, 12 gauge, 28 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1940. Single bead sight, standard barrel markings, 2 3/4 inch chamber, and choke marked “MOD.” Matching numbers on the receiver and barrel collar as well as Winchester “WP” proofs on the barrel and receiver. 18 groove round forearm and pistol grip stock with hard rubber Winchester buttplate. Length of pull 13 3/4 inches. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 85% original blue finish, scattered light surface spotting, some slide retraction wear, and overall light handling evidence. Woodis also very fine with light scattered scratches and dings. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 1,400 - 2,250

Blued Winchester proof steel barrels with a dual bead sights on the matted concave solid rib, standard Winchester markings, chokes marked “MOD”/”IMP MOD.”, and chambers measured 2 1/2 inches with automatic ejectors.
