SHELLS 3” on the right and left respectively, light engraving at the breeches, and 3 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. The casehardened sidelock action displays near full coverage classic English rose and scroll engraving with a
pair of pigeons perched on corn stalks on the underside as well as “AUG. FRANCOTTE.” in gold. The engraving
extends to the trigger guard, toplever, and tangs with the gold inlaid serial number on the lower. The trigger plate is marked “MS METS”. The gun features a single trigger and tang mounted manual safety with gold inlaid
“SAFE”. Beautifully figured, multi-point checkered semi-beavertail forend with engraved fittings and straight gold inscription oval, and checkered bare butt. Barrel and stock measurements (R/L): choke constriction .014/.036
