London Retailer Inscribed and Cased Colt Etched Panel New House Model Spur Trigger Revolver with Pearl Grips - Serial no. 13107, 41 CF cal., 2 1/4 inch round bbl., nickel finish, pearl grips. Manufactured in 1881, this
is one of only approximately 4,000 New House Model revolvers produced. The top of the barrel has the two-line address, and the “COLT NEW 41” etched panel is on the left. There are British
proofs on the barrel and
cylinder. It has standard
features apart from
being fitted with a pair
of desirable smooth
pearl grips. The serial
number is on the left of
the grip frame, bottom
of the barrel, and the
partial serial number is on the rear face of the cylinder. The back strap is hand engraved
“E.M. REILLY & Co 16. NEW OXFORD St LONDON.” Includes a leather case with corresponding E.M. Reilly & Co. interior label, oiler, screwdriver, cleaning rod, and four .41 CF cartridges.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 90% plus of the “frosted” retailer applied replated nickel with a few scattered patches of light flaking revealing a balance of mostly smooth grey patina. The grips are very good with a couple minor chips absent from corners and otherwise minimal handling evidence. Mechanically excellent. The case is very good with reattached lid.

The left side of the
rare 2 3/4 inch barrel
has the desirable acid
etched panel marked
“COLT NEW 22”, the top
marked with the two-line
address, the patent date
on the bottom, and the
matching serial number
on the butt, rear of the
cylinder, and bottom of the
barrel (“9247”). There are British
proofs on the barrel and cylinder. It is fitted with a pair of smooth
hardwood grips. Includes a leatherette wrapped hard case. Also a 1902
dated handwritten note indicating that the revolver was once given as a gift.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 85% plus of the frosted, untouched original nickel finish with some scattered light flaking revealing mostly a smooth grey patina and a well-defined acid etched panel. The grips are fine with some scattered light handling marks and retaining most of the varnish. Mechanically excellent. The case is fine with some mild handling/storage wear and some minor stains.

London Agency Cased Colt Etched Panel New Line .41 Spur Trigger Revolver - Serial no. 3710, 41 RF cal., 2 1/4 inch round bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut grips. Manufactured 1876 with standard markings, including the “COLT NEW 41” in an etched panel on the left of the barrel and British proofs on the upper left of the barrel and cylinder. Matching numbers are present on the left of the grip frame, bottom
of the barrel, rear face of the cylinder, and penciled inside the left grip panel. It has standard features. Includes an oak presentation case with Colt London Agency interior label, cleaning rod, key, and ten .41 RF cartridges.
CONDITION: Fine, retains 60% of the original high polish blue and 50%
of the original case colors with the balance having thinned to mostly
a smooth grey-brown patina and some scattered small patches of
light pitting. The grips are very fine with some scattered light handling
marks and retaining most of the varnish. Mechanically excellent. The
case is also fine with a few scattered minor cracks and otherwise minor handling/storage wear. Estimate: 2,250 - 3,500

Desirable London Agency Cased Silver Plated Colt Third Model “Thuer” Derringer - Serial
no. 38231, 41 RF cal., 2 1/2 inch round bbl., blue/ silver finish, hardwood grips. These derringers were introduced in 1870 and totaled around 48,000 produced. The top of the barrel has a rounded blade front sight and “COLT” in large italic letters and the bottom of the barrel has small British proofs. The caliber marking is on the left of the frame. Includes an oak presentation case with Colt London Agency label inside the lid, key, and two .41 RF cartridges.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 90% plus of the
bright original blue finish and 70% of the silver
finish with the balance primarily a smooth grey
patina or attractively aged brass. The grips are excellent with a few scattered light handling marks and retaining almost all of the varnish. Mechanically excellent. The case is also very fine with some light handling/storage wear.

British Retailer Cased Colt New Line .32 Spur Trigger Revolver - Serial no. 21463, 32 CF cal., 2 1/4 inch round bbl., blue finish, hard rubber grips. Manufactured in 1884. The top
of the barrel has the two-line address. The cylinder is marked with British proofs. It has standard features as well as a pair of checkered hard rubber grips. Includes a hardwood case with British retailer interior label marked “J. VENABLES & SON/GUN MAKERS,/99, ALDATE’S STREET,/Opposite Christ Church,/OXFORD”, an oiler, cleaning rod, key, and six Eley .320
CF cartridges.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 85% plus of the
likely original finish with the balance having
thinned to mostly a smooth grey patina, primarily on the grip straps and left of the barrel. The grips are also very
fine with a minor chip absent from the top of the left panel, scattered minor dings, and otherwise crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
