Scarce Documented Winchester 16 Gauge Model 21 Skeet Double Barrel Shotgun with Factory Letter - Serial no. 21748, 16 gauge, 28 inch solid rib bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. The included factory letter states that the final inspection for this gun was

completed on October 18, 1948, and that it was built as a standard skeet grade gun in 16 gauge. The letter also states that the gun was returned to the
factory on October 20, 1964, for repair and restocking. Blued Winchester Proof steel barrels with Bradley red front bead and steel mid bead on the matted concave solid rib, standard Winchester markings, and 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. The blued action is marked “SKEET” on the triggerplate and features a single selective trigger and a
tang mounted manual safety switch. Attractively figured, multi-point checkered beavertail forend and pistol grip stock with blued steel grip cap and leather wrapped recoil pad. Includes a Beretta takedown case. Barrel and stock measurements (R/L): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .671/.671 inches; choke constriction .002/.012 inches;
minimum wall thickness .029/.028 inches; 1 9/16 inch drop at comb; 2 3/8 inch drop at heel; 14 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs. 13 oz. CONDITION: Very fine as factory refurbished, retaining 97% plus blue finish with some areas of slight oxidation on the top rib, a few scratches towards the muzzles, and overall minor handling evidence. The factory replacement wood is also very fine with some chipping along the edges, a repaired crack, and some chipping on the right of the forend near the rear, otherwise minor handling evidence and sharp checkering. LOT 3541 Winchester Model 42 Slide Action Shotgun with Box - Serial no. 34656, 410 gauge, 28 inch solid rib bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1937. Single steel bead sight on the matted solid rib, standard markings, 3 inch chamber, and choke marked full. Winchester “WP” proofs on the barrel and receiver. Plain straight grained 18-groove forend and pistol grip stock with Winchester hard rubber buttplate. Includes a matching label specification factory picture box numbered to another gun. Stock measurements: drop at the comb 1 1/2 inches; drop at the heel 2 9/16 inches, length of pull 14 inches; weight 6 lbs. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 75% plus original blue finish with scattered handling marks, spotting, moderate slide retraction marks, and high edge wear. Stock is fine retaining most of the original varnish with scattered handling marks, dings, scratches, and a hairline crack at the toe. Mechanically excellent. Box is fine with a couple torn corners, peeling of the end label, and storage and handling marks. Estimate: 2,250 - 3,500

World War I Era Winchester Model 1912 Slide Action Riot Shotgun - Serial no. 165782, 12 gauge, 20 1/2 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1917. Single bead sight on the blued barrel, Winchester “WP” proof, and cylinder choke marked cylinder. The blued receiver shows the Winchester “WP” proof. Straight grain 18-groove forend and pistol grip stock which is marked “C3”, likely an the inventory number for this gun in the armory of either a police department or prison system. CONDITION: Very fine overall, retaining 80% plus original blue finish, the majority of lose on the receiver extension with otherwise minor handling evidence, a few areas of minor surface spotting, and light high edge wear. The “C3” marking on the very fine original stock is sharp. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 1,600 - 2,500

Very Fine Pre-World War I Winchester Model 1897 Slide Action Riot Shotgun with Sheriff Marking - Serial no. E621441, 12 gauge, 20 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1916 with the early solid frame. Single brass front sight bead. The action bar is roll-stamped “MODEL 1897/-WINCHESTER-/TRADE MARK REG. IN U.S.PAT.OFF.”” in three lines, and the barrel is marked “12 GA.” and “CYL” along with the Winchester address and patent information. Oval Winchester “W/P” proofmarks are stamped on the top of the barrel and receiver. The serial number “E/621441” is roll-stamped across the bottom of the receiver. No U.S. ordnance marks are present on the gun. Mounted with an 18-groove forend and smooth pistol grip stock fitted with a checkered hard rubber Winchester buttplate. “SHERIF/ALLY.CO.” (sic) stamped on the left of the buttstock, likely for Allegheny County, Pennsylvania Sheriff’s Office. 13 3/4 inch length of pull. CONDITION: Very fine, retains 80% plus original high polish blue finish with scattered light handling marks and light cycling wear. Wood is fine with some scattered light scratches and
dents, a scuff on the left rear and stamped letters as mentioned above. Mechanically excellent.
