45 Long Colt cal., 4 3/4 inch round bbl., blue finish, original grips. The included factory letter lists this revolver by special serial number as
having a 4 3/4 inch barrel chambered in .45 Colt with charcoal blue finish, factory Class ā€œCā€ engraving, hand checkered hammer accented
with gold inlay border and basket weave design on the side of the hammer, gold inlaid Helfricht style fan pastern on the recoil shield, gold
inlaid leaf pattern on the back strap, one gold inlaid cylinder band, one gold inlaid band at each end of the barrel extending onto the ejector tube, gold accented borders, beveled cylinder, and ā€œ.45ā€ caliber designation cut in high relief on the front of the frame executed by Colt Master Engraver Steve Kamyk whose signature is on the back strap beneath the grip, housed in a glass top oak case with French fit burgundy interior when sold to Jim Alaimo at The 1995 Las Vegas Antique Arms Show and shipped March 20, 1995. The letter also confirms the configuration and material of the grip.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue finish with limited handling marks and crisp engraving. Mechanically excellent. Case is also excellent with minimal storage and handling marks.

Attractive Engraved and Gold Inlaid Colt Second Generation Single Action Army Revolver with Factory Letter - Serial no. 6098SA, 45 LC cal., 7 1/2 inch Round bbl., blue/casehardened finish, hard rubber grips. The accompanying factory letter indicates the revolver was originally shipped on September 5, 1956 to Belknap Hardware
& Mfg. Co. of Louisville, Kentucky. The revolver later received a beautiful, rich custom embellishment consisting of semi-relief engraved scrollwork at 75%
coverage accented with fine gold inlays such as double bands on the barrel at the muzzle and breech, triangles and single band on the cylinder, and flourishes complementing the engraving on top of the back strap. Even the sides of the hammer are scroll engraved. Both grip straps are numbered to the gun.
CONDITION: Very fine overall as professionally custom embellished retaining 99% plus of the blue and casehardened finishes, showing the slightest handling marks and slightly oversized replacement grips with crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. A highly attractive embellished revolver that will look great in any Colt SAA collection.
