Manufactured c.
1940-1942 as a World War II era simplification of the classic Thompson submachine gun. Blade front sight on the Cutts-marked compensator and fixed
Lyman peep rear sights, with “P” and “S” marks on the smooth barrel, “GEG” and “crossed cannons” on the receiver with the last three digits of the serial
number overstruck, mismatched numbered replacement trigger housing (S-103454), vertical pistol grips and a quick-detach buttstock. The trigger
housing uses the simplified wartime selector and safety controls, and the internals are 1928 pattern with “S” marked bolt, charging handle, Blish Lock
and spring guide. Included with the lot is a black leatherette “FBI” style case, three stick magazines, and one Type “L” 50-round drum.
CONDITION: Fine as assembled, with 70% of the arsenal refurbished parkerized finish, showing areas of gray and brown patina, discoloration on
the left side of the receiver, and mild spotting and wear overall. The stock is fine, with contrasting color between pieces and mild chips and dings
concentrated on the buttstock. Mechanically excellent. Accessories are very fine. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable
Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) that is classified as a “Curios or Relic” as defined in 27
