Excellent Late World War I Imperial
German “1918” Date DWM Model 1914
Military Luger Semi-Automatic Pistol
Rig with Holster and Two Matching
Magazines - Serial no. 2980d, 9 mm
Luger cal., 4 inch round bbl., blue/straw
finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1918.
Features fixed blade front and notch rear sights,
the “1918” date marked on top of the barrel
extension, the “DWM” monogram marked on top of the toggle link, “crown/Gothic
letter” military proofs on the right side of the barrel extension, and imperial eagle
firing proofs on the barrel, barrel, extension, and breech block. Matching full serial
numbers on the frame, barrel, and barrel extension, along with matching “80” partial
serial numbers visible on small parts. Fitted with a pair of checkered walnut grips with
matching “80” partial serial numbers stamped on the interiors and a nickel plated
magazine with a matching numbered walnut base. Includes a brown leather flap
holster with faint manufacturer marking inside the flap, a takedown tool, and an extra
nickel plated magazine with matching numbered and “+” marked walnut base.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 95% plus original blue finish and 85% plus original
straw colors with some minor edge wear, some minor thinning on the frame with
smooth grey and brown patinas, limited freckling, along with clear markings and
proofs. The grips are also excellent with some minor handling evidence in the well-
defined checkering. Mechanically excellent. The holster is very fine with a few minor
handling marks. Overall a very attractive example of a World War I production Imperial
German DWM Model 1914 Military Luger pistol rig complete with two matching
magazines and a holster!

DWM Model 1900 “American Eagle” Commercial Luger Semi-
Automatic Pistol - Serial no. 8828, 7.65 mm Luger Auto cal., 4 3/4
inch round bbl., blue/straw finish, walnut grips. Manufactured c. 1900 to
1906, the Model 1900 was the first production Luger semi-automatic
pistol offered by Deutsche Waffen- und Munitionsfabriken (DWM) to
the international commercial market, with the “American eagle” variants
(found in a serial number range of 2,000 to 19,000) like this example intended
specifically for export to the lucrative United States market. Features fixed blade front
and notch rear sights, the distinct American “Great Seal of the United States” eagle crest
on top of the barrel extension, the “DWM” monogram marked on top of the toggle link,
dished toggles with a toggle lock, narrow trigger, second type checkered thumb safety lever,
and a “GERMANY” export mark on front of the frame. Matching full commercial pattern serial
numbers on the frame and barrel, along with matching “28” partial serial numbers visible on small parts
including the barrel extension. Fitted with a pair of checkered walnut grips with matching “28” partial serial
number on the interiors and a nickel plated magazine with correctly unmarked walnut base.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 95% plus original blue finish and 90% original straw colors with some minor edge wear,
some grey patina on the trigger, some minor handling wear, and crisp markings. The grips are also excellent with a few
minor compression marks in the crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Overall a very attractive example of a DWM Model
1900 “American eagle” commercial Luger pistol!

Excellent Imperial German “1912” Date Erfurt
Arsenal Model 1908 Military Luger Semi-
Automatic Pistol with Matching Magazine - Serial no. 7834, 9 mm Luger cal., 4
inch round bbl., blue/straw finish, checkered walnut grips. Manufactured in 1912 by
the Erfurt Arsenal, this example correctly lacks the stock lug as found on the Model 1914
Military pistol frame and has the breech block hold open device that was subsequently
added to pistols as an arsenal update. Features fixed blade front and notch rear sights, the
“1912” date on top of the barrel extension, the “crown/ERFURT” marking on top of the toggle link, “crown/
Gothic letter” military proofs on the right side of the barrel extension, imperial eagle firing proofs on the
barrel, barrel extension, and breech block, along with Erfurt “crown/Gothic letter” proofs visible on small parts.
Matching full military pattern serial numbers on the frame, barrel, and barrel extension, along with matching “34”
partial serial numbers visible on small parts. Fitted with a pair of checkered walnut grips with matching partial serial
numbers on the interiors and a nickel plated magazine with matching numbered walnut base.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 95% plus original blue finish and 85% plus original straw colors with some light edge
wear, minor handling marks, and clear markings. The grips are also excellent with a few light
handling marks in the otherwise crisp checkering.
Mechanically excellent. Overall a very
attractive example of an original Imperial
German “1912” dated Erfurt Arsenal
Model 1908 Military Luger pistol with
