German DWM Model 1902 Luger Semi-Automatic
Carbine with Matching Shoulder Stock - Serial no. 21658, 7.65 mm Luger Auto cal.,
11 3/4 inch round bbl., blue/straw finish, walnut grips. Introduced in 1902, and one of a reported
total of up to 2,500 second type Luger carbines produced by Deutsche Waffen- und Munitionsfabriken
(DWM) as a follow up to the roughly 100 first type carbines of the Model 1900 variety, as discussed on
pages 61-62 of “Luger” by John Walter. Such pistols were marketed during the early 1900s as lightweight
hunting rifle substitutes, with the Luger carbines requiring a more potent loading of 7.65 mm Luger Auto ammunition
to reliably cycle with the longer eleven-inch barreled action. Features fixed ramped beaded blade front and range adjustable notch
rear (graduated from 100 to 300 meters) sights, “crown/Gothic letter” proofs on the barrel and extension, an unmarked extension
ring, “DWM” monogram marked toggle link, and early Luger features to includes dished toggles with a toggle lock, a recessed breech block, narrow trigger, and the lower safety position
polished bright. Matching serial numbers on the frame wedge arm and barrel along with matching “58” and “658” partial serial numbers on small parts. Fitted with a checkered walnut forend and a
pair of checkered walnut grips with matching “58” partial serial numbers on the interiors, and a nickel plated magazine with an un-numbered walnut base. Includes a checkered walnut shoulder stock with
a matching “658” partial serial number on the attaching iron.
CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 85% plus original blue finish and 60% original straw colors with a few minor handling marks, limited freckling, and clear markings. The recheckered forend, grips, and stock
are also very fine with attractive grain and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Overall an attractive example of a DWM Model 1902 Luger carbine with the matching shoulder stock!

Outstanding World War II German Mauser “1940” Date “42” Code Luger
Semi-Automatic Pistol with Two Matching Magazines - Serial no. 9201k, 9
mm Luger cal., 4 inch round bbl., blue finish, checkered walnut grips. Manufactured
in 1940. Features fixed blade front and notch rear sights, the “1940” date marked on top of the barrel extension,
the “42” code marked on top of the toggle link, “eagle/655” proofs on the barrel and barrel extension, along with
“eagle/(swastika)” firing proofs on the barrel, barrel, extension, and breech block. Matching serial numbers on the
frame, barrel, and barrel extension, with matching “01” partial serial numbers visible on small parts. Fitted with a pair
of checkered walnut grips with “eagle/655” proofs stamped on the interiors along with a “112” code and “eagle/37” proofed
blued magazine with a matching numbered alloy base. Includes an extra “112” code and “eagle/37” proofed blued magazine with a
matching numbered and “+” marked alloy base.
CONDITION: Excellent plus, as issued, retaining 99% plus original blue finish with a minor safety drag line along with clear markings and
proofs. The grips are also excellent plus with a few minor handling marks in the
crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Overall a very attractive example of a World
War II Mauser “1940” date and “42” code Luger pistol with two matching
magazines that would be difficult to best!
