Exceptional Swiss Military Contract DWM Model 1906
Luger Semi-Automatic Pistol - Serial no. 9931, 7.65 mm
Luger Auto cal., 4 3/4 inch round bbl., blue/straw finish,
walnut grips. Manufactured in 1909, one of 2,950 Model 1906 Luger semi-automatic
pistols (serial number range 9,051 to 12,000) delivered to the Swiss government that
year by the German DWM firm as a part of the continued Swiss 1906 contract, which saw
the delivery of 10,215 pistols over an eight year period before ending in 1914 as a result of
the outbreak of World War I, as discussed on page 35 of “The Swiss Variations” by Fred Datig. Features fixed
blade front and notch rear sights, the Swiss military specific “cross-in-shield” crest marked on top of the barrel
extension, the “DWM” monogram marked on top of the toggle link, Swiss “cross” proofs, and the lower safety
position correctly polished bright. Matching full serial numbers on the frame and barrel, matching “31” and “931”
partial serial numbers visible on some small parts, including the barrel extension. Fitted with a pair of walnut grips
with matching “931” partial serial numbers on the interiors and a nickel plated magazine with correct pattern metal
insert walnut base.
CONDITION: Extremely fine, retaining 98% arsenal refurbished bright blue
finish and 97% straw colors with a minor safety drag line, some minor
cycling wear, limited minor freckling inside the trigger guard, and
crisp and bright markings. The grips are also excellent with attractive
original wood grain visible and crisp checkering. Mechanically
excellent. Overall an exceptional Swiss military contract “cross-in-shield”
marked DWM Model 1900 Luger pistol!

Number - Serial no. 381a, 9 mm Luger cal., 6
inch round bbl., blue/straw finish, walnut grips.
Features fixed blade front and two position
adjustable notch rear sights (graduated for 100
and 200 meters), the “1917” date marked on top
of the barrel extension along with smaller “1917”
date marking on the left of the front sight base
and frame, the “DWM” monogram marked on top
of the toggle links, and “crown/M”
naval and “crown” proofs.
Matching full military
pattern serial numbers on
the frame and barrel, and
matching “81” partial serial
numbers visible on small parts
including the barrel extension. The back strap is marked with a World War II
era Kriegsmarine “N/2004” naval property marking (North Sea) and inventory number. Fitted with
a pair of hardwood grips and a nickel plated magazine with non-matching numbered “crown/M”
proofed hardwood base.
CONDITION: Very fine as arsenal refurbished, retaining 90% plus blue finish and 70% straw colors
with minor edge wear, plum coloration to the barrel, minor thinning with smooth grey and
brown patinas, minor specks of freckling, light handling marks, and clear markings. The grips are
also very fine with a chip absent from the rear of the left panel and light handling wear in the
well-defined checkering. Mechanically excellent.

Exceptional World War II German Mauser “1939” Date “S/42” Code Luger Semi-
Automatic Pistol with Matching Magazine - Serial no. 351p, 9 mm Luger cal., 4 inch
round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Features fixed blade front and notch rear sights, the
“1939” date marking on top of the barrel extension, the “s/42” code marking on top of the
toggle link, and “eagle/63” and drooped wing “eagle” proofs. Matching full serial numbers on the frame,
barrel and extension, and matching visible “51” partial serial numbers on small parts. Fitted with a pair of
checkered walnut grips and a blued magazine with a matching numbered and “eagle/63” proofed alloy base.
CONDITION: Exceptionally fine, retaining 90% original blue finish with light holster pattern edge wear, attractive
and correct plum coloration to the barrel extension, some minor thinning with smooth grey and brown patinas,
a few light handling marks focused on the trigger guard, and crisp and bright marking and proofs. The grips are
very fine with some light handling marks in the well-defined checkering.
Mechanically excellent.

First Swiss Contract DWM Model 1900 Luger Semi-
Automatic Pistol, Serial Number “567” - Serial no. 567,
7.65 mm Luger Auto cal., 4 3/4 inch round bbl., blue/straw
finish, walnut grips. Manufactured c. 1901, as one of 2,000 Luger semi-automatic pistols
(serial number range “1” to “2,000”) delivered to the Swiss War Material Administration
from 1901 to 1903 by the German DWM firm as the first portion of the Swiss 1900 contract,
which saw the delivery of 5,000 pistols in total from 1901 to 1906 as discussed on page 27
of “The Swiss Variations” by Fred Datig. This early three-digit example was the 567th of the contract to be
produced, with a distinctive first type “long pad” checkered safety lever which was changed for a shorter
pad design before the first 1,000 pistol were completed. Features fixed blade front and notch rear sights, the
Swiss “cross-in-sunburst” crest marked on top of the barrel extension, the “DWM” monogram marked on top of
the toggle link, Swiss “cross” proofs, dished toggles with a toggle lock, and correctly polished bright lower safety
position. Matching full serial numbers on the frame and barrel, and matching “67” partial serial numbers visible on
small parts including the extension. Fitted with a pair of checkered walnut grips with matching “67”
partial serial number on the interiors and a nickel plated magazine with
correct pattern metal insert walnut base.
CONDITION: Extremely fine, retaining 95% plus arsenal refurbished
blue finish and 90% straw colors with some minor wear, a few
minor spots of brown patina/freckling, along with clear and bright
markings. The grips are excellent with a few minor handling marks in the
crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Overall an attractive three-digit serialized example of a first Swiss
contract DWM Model 1900 Luger pistol!

a nickel finished magazine with non-matching numbered walnut base. Includes an unmarked
brown leather flap holster with a cleaning rod.
CONDITION: Exceptionally fine, retaining 95% plus original blue finish and 98% professionally
restored straw colors with brown patina and minor edge wear on the slide plate, limited minor
handling evidence and clear markings. The grips are also exceptionally fine with an extremely
small chip under safety lever and well-defined checkering. Mechanically excellent.
The holster is very good.
