Both guns feature a single trigger, a right hand rolled trigger
guard, and a tang mounted automatic safety with gold inlaid
“SAFE” indicator.
Both guns are fitted with a gorgeous highly figured
perfectly matching forend and stock. The forends are of
the “English” style and feature fine multi-point checkering
with matching brushed bright finish iron showing more of
the excellent floral engraving as well as a gold inlaid “1” or
“2” on the bottom of the push-button release. The stocks
have a straight hand, matching fine multi-point checkering,
tear drop carved flats at the stock head, a highly intricate
“RML” monogram inlaid in gold directly into the stock on the
underside near the toe, and a fully checkered bare butt. The
set is housed in an included maker’s leather flat case which is
lined in red baize.
Barrel and stock measurements (U/O): bore diameter nine
inches from the breech both proofed and measured at
18.5 mm (.728 inches); choke constriction .007/.019 inches;
minimum wall thickness .029/.028 inches; 1 1/2 inch drop
at comb; 2 1/4 inch drop at heel; 15 1/8 inch length of pull;
weight 7 lbs. 6 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original
rich blue and brushed bright finishes with minimal handling
evidence and sharp checkering on the stock and forend.
Mechanically excellent. The case is very fine with minor
storage type wear. B) Ivo Fabbri Over/Under Shotgun -
Serial no. E832, 12 gauge, 28 inch vent rib bbl., blue/brushed
bright finish, walnut stock. As described in “A”.
