vent rib bbl., blue finish, walnut
grips. Manufactured in 1980, with
the included factory letter confirming
this revolver’s configuration, including the 6 inch barrel in .22 Long Rifle
caliber, blue finish, type of grips not listed, and Class “C” standard level
factory scroll engraving, when included in a shipment with five revolvers
of the same type sent to Outdoor Sports Headquarters Inc. at 2290
Arbor Boulevard in Dayton, Ohio, on July 18, 1980 under Colt Factory
Order #10948. Features fixed ramped blade front and adjustable notch
rear sights, the one-line Colt address roll-marked on the right side of
the barrel with the two-line model and caliber designation on the left
side, a Rampant Colt on the left of the frame, Colt factory “triangle/VP” and “D” proofs on the left side
of the trigger guard, “COLT ENG.” marked on the left side of the grip frame under the panel, along
with Colt factory Class “C” floral pattern scroll engravings covering approximately 75% of the frame,
cylinder, and barrel. Fitted with a pair of checkered walnut grips with gold Rampant Colt medallion
inserts. Also includes a Colt Custom Shop leatherette presentation case and a July 23, 2018, dated
sales receipt, listing the serial numbers of this revolver and another Colt Diamondback in .22 LR caliber, from Mike Bishop LLC at 114 South Grant Street in Fitzgerald, Georgia.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue finish with limited
handling evidence, clear markings, along with crisp engraving and grip
checkering. Mechanically excellent. The case is very fine with some light
storage marks.

rib bbl., blue finish, walnut grips.
Manufactured in 1979. Features fixed
ramped blade front and adjustable notch rear sights, the one-line Colt
address roll-marked on the right side of the barrel with the two-line
model and caliber designation on the left side, a Rampant Colt on the
left side of the frame, Colt factory “triangle/VP” and “C” proofs on the
left side of the trigger guard, “COLT ENG.” marked on the left side of the
grip frame under the panel, along with Class “A” standard level factory
floral scroll engraving on the frame, barrel, and cylinder. Matching full
serial numbers on the crane and frame, along with a matching “850”
partial serial number on the rear of the cylinder. Fitted with a pair of checkered walnut grips with gold
Rampant Colt medallion inserts. Includes a Colt Custom Shop leatherette presentation case.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue finish with faint cylinder drag lines, limited
handling evidence, along with crisp engraving and grip checkering. Mechanically excellent. The case
is excellent.
