Desirable Cased Matched Set of Colt Python Snake
Eyes Edition Double Action Revolvers with Boxes
-A) Colt Python Snake Eyes Edition Revolver - Serial no.
EYES271, 357 Magnum cal., 2 1/2 inch vent rib bbl., blue
finish, plastic grips. Manufactured in 1988 in a limited run
of 500 sets. Serrated, pinned ramp blade front sight with
an orange insert and a fully adjustable rear sight. The left
side of the barrel is marked “SNAKE EYES” with a decorative
design on each side. The matching serial numbers of
“EYES271” and “271EYES” are stamped on the butt. The
trigger and cylinder release are serrated, and the hammer
is checkered. The Rampant Colt logo is stamped on the side
plate. With smooth grips with two dice scrimshawed on the
left panel with “snake eyes” up and a royal flush poker hand
on the right panel. Each revolver comes with the original
Colt heritage box. Also includes two decks of cards (sealed),
“Snake Eyes” display case, and shipping box for the case.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original
blue finish with minor cylinder drag lines and minimal
handling marks. Mechanically excellent. Box is fine. Case is
very fine with a die detached and the key is absent.
B) Colt Python Snake Eyes Edition Revolver - Serial no.
271EYES, 357 Magnum cal., 2 1/2 inch vent rib bbl., Ultimate
Stainless finish, plastic grips. As “A” but Ultimate Stainless
steel finish.
CONDITION: Excellent overall with minor cylinder drag lines
and minimal handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
Box is fine.

Scarce and Highly Desirable Three Inch Barrel Colt/Pacific International California Combat Python
Double Action Revolver with Original Box - Serial no. K27989, 357 Magnum cal., 3 inch vent rib bbl., blue
finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1981 as one of only 3,495 Colt Target Python revolver made in a blue
finish, subsequently retailer upgraded to California Combat Python configuration by Pacific International of
Sacramento, California. This configuration was created by cutting down the barrel to three inches, adding a new
front sight and barrel marking, and reaming out the cylinder for .357 Magnum cartridges. Features fixed
ramped blade front and adjustable notch rear sights, the two-line model, caliber and “CALIFORNIA
COMBAT” designation on the left side of the barrel, a Rampant Colt on the left side of the frame, along
with Colt factory “triangle/VP” and “E” proofs on the left side of the trigger guard. Matching serial
numbers on the frame and crane. Fitted with a pair of checkered walnut grips with gold Rampant
Colt medallion inserts. Includes the original Colt wood grain box with a matching number and
configuration marked silver Colt end label placed over the original gold end label.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% blue finish with a faint cylinder drag line, limited minor
handling evidence, clear markings, and crisp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent. The box is very
good with edge wear.
