Scarce and Highly Desirable 3 Inch Barrel Colt Combat Python Double Action
Revolver with Factory Letter - Serial no. T74614, 357 Magnum cal., 3 inch vent
rib bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1988, as part of an exclusive 500
revolver run for Lew Horton Distributing Company Inc. of Southboro, Massachusetts, per
page 702 of “Forty-Fourth Edition Blue Book of Gun Values”. The included factory letter confirms the revolver’s
configuration, including a 3 inch barrel in .357 Magnum caliber, blue finish, and checkered walnut service grips,
when sent in a shipment with 43 revolvers of the same type to Lew Horton Dist. Co. Inc. at 175 Boston Road
in Southboro, Massachusetts, on March 10, 1988. Features fixed red-ramped front and adjustable notch rear
sights, the two-line Colt address roll-marked on the right side of the barrel with the “COMBAT PYTHON” model
and caliber designations on the left of the barrel, a Rampant Colt on the left side of the frame, along with Colt “triangle/VP” and
“I” factory proofs on the left side of the trigger guard. Matching full serial numbers on the frame and crane. Fitted with a pair of
checkered walnut service grips with gold Rampant Colt medallion inserts.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue finish with faint cylinder drag lines, limited handling evidence, clear
markings, and crisp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent.

Diamondback Double Action
Revolver with Factory Letter - Serial no.
R13284, 38 Special cal., 4 inch vent rib bbl.,
blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in
1979, with the included factory letter confirming
this revolver’s configuration, including a 4 inch barrel in
.38 Special caliber, blue finish, type of grips not listed, and
factory Class “A” standard level scroll engraving (engraver’s
name not listed), when sent as the only revolver of its type in a shipment
to Riley’s Inc. at 121-125 North Main Street in Avilla, Indiana, on August 24,
1979, under Colt Factory Order #10837. The factory letter
also indicates that the revolver was returned to the factory
January 2, 1980, and subsequently shipped to a Mr. William
Winkleman on Route 3 in Merrill, Wisconsin, on February
22, 1980. Features fixed ramped blade front and adjustable
notch rear sights, the one-line Colt address roll-marked on
the right side of the barrel with the two-line model and
caliber designations on the left side, a Rampant Colt on the
left side of the frame, a Colt factory “triangle/VP” proof on
the left side of the trigger guard, “COLT ENG.” marked on the
left side of the grip frame under the panel, along with Class
“A” factory scroll engraving with punch dot backdrop on the frame, barrel, and cylinder. Fitted with
a pair of checkered walnut grips with gold Rampant Colt medallion inserts.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 99% original blue finish with limited handling evidence, clear roll
marks, and crisp engraving. The grips are also excellent with attractive grain and crisp checkering.
Mechanically excellent.

Rare 5 Inch Barreled Colt Anaconda Double Action Revolver with Factory Letter
and Case - Serial no. MM93227, 44 Magnum cal., 5 inch vent rib bbl., stainless finish,
rubber grips. One of a reported total of only 150 Colt Anaconda revolvers made with
5 inch barrels, noted as not being factory cataloged and a special edition only per
page 694 of “Blue Book of Gun Values” by Fjestad and Beuning, with this example
manufactured in 1997. The included factory letter confirms the revolver’s configuration,
including a 5 inch barrel in .44 Magnum/.44 Special caliber, stainless finish, and type
of grips not listed, when sold to Acusport Corporation and sent in a shipment with 10
revolvers of the same type to One Hunter Place in Bellefontaine, Ohio, on February 13, 1997. Matching serial numbers on the
frame and crane. Also includes a Colt blue plastic hard case and a tan 5.11 brand soft case.
CONDITION: Excellent, with light cylinder drag lines, some limited minor handling evidence, and crisp roll-marks. The grips are
also excellent with some minor handling evidence, bright medallions, and defined checkering. Mechanically excellent.
