Superb Cased Pair of Consecutively Serial Numbered Engraved Uberti
Miniature Colt Walker Percussion Revolvers with Ivory Grips -A) Engraved
Uberti Miniature Colt Walker Revolver - Serial no. 207, 4 1/4 inch part round
bbl., blue/casehardened/gold finish, ivory grips. Offered here is a highly attractive
embellished consecutively serial numbered pair of 47% scale miniature Uberti non-
firing replicas of the legendary Colt Walker revolver. Both feature fine floral scroll
pattern engraving with gold inlaid bands and borders, and both are fitted with an
ivory grip. Matching visible serial number “207” on the barrel, frame, trigger guard,
and back strap. Includes a hardwood case with blue felt lined interior fitted for
the pair, containing a miniature powder flask, mold, oiler, cap tin, cartridge pack,
lead balls, and key. This pair of miniatures is pictured and described in “The Art of
Miniature Firearms, Centuries of Craftsmanship” by The Miniature Arms Society.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retains 99% plus of the bright original niter blue,
casehardened, and gold finishes, only the slightest handling evidence, crisp
engraving, and age lines in the left of the grip with distinct edges. The action
mechanically functions. Case is very fine. B) Engraved Uberti Miniature Colt
Walker Revolver - Serial no. 208, 4 1/4 inch part round bbl., blue/casehardened/
gold finish, ivory grips. As described in “A.” Matching visible serial number “208” on
the barrel, frame, trigger guard, and back strap.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retains 99% plus of the bright original niter
blue, casehardened, and gold finishes, only the slightest handling evidence,
crisp engraving, and a few age lines in the grip with distinct edges. The action
mechanically functions.

Sharps Model 1877 Rifle and Colt Dragoon Revolver Featured
in “The Art of Miniature Firearms, Centuries of Craftsmanship”
-A) Roger Sampson Master Engraved Gold Inlaid Miniature Sharps
Model 1877 Rifle by Michael Barrett - NSN, 14 1/2 inch round bbl., blue/
French grey/gold finish, deluxe walnut stock. Rock Island Auction Company prides itself on
establishing a tradition of presenting exquisite pieces of steel canvas artistry to the public,
and this miniature set is an embodiment of that. Offered here is an outstanding set of
approximately 1/2 scale non-firing miniature embellished firearms made with an extremely
high level of detail, both engraved by Master Engraver Roger Sampson, and accompanied by a silver NRA “Ten
Best” award medal. This miniature Sharps Model 1877 rifle was made by masterful maker Michael Barrett and
features the “Old Reliable” trademark marking ahead of “SHARPS RIFLE CO. BRIDGEPORT CONN.” on top of the
barrel, a globe front sight, tang mounted ladder peep rear sight, a gold inlaid band at the breech, and Master
Engraver Roger Sampson’s intricate floral scroll pattern engraving on the frame, lock, and hammer with
oval panel scenes on either side of the frame containing a gold bison on the left and an eagle on the right.
Fitted with a checkered deluxe walnut forearm and pistol grip buttstock. This exact miniature Sharps Model 1877 rifle and the accompanying
miniature Colt Dragoon revolver are pictured together on pages 74-75 of “The Art of Miniature Firearms, Centuries of Craftsmanship” where
the Sharps rifle is noted as being made by Michael Barrett, the Colt Dragoon revolver made by Emil Ripoli, and both having been engraved by
Master Engraver Roger Sampson. Includes a hardwood case with red felt lined interior fitted for the miniature rifle and revolver, and the silver
NRA award medal for “One of the Ten Best Miniature Weapons Exhibited at the NRA Annual Meeting.”
CONDITION: Excellent, retains 99% original blue, French grey, and gold finishes, with sharp engraving. Wood is also excellent, with highly
attractive deluxe grain, minimal handling evidence, and crisp checkering. The action mechanically functions. The case is very fine.
B) Roger Sampson Master Engraved Gold Inlaid Miniature Colt Second Model Dragoon Percussion Revolver by Emil Ripoli - Serial
no. 3, 3 3/4 inch part round bbl., blue/casehardened/gold finish, walnut grips. This miniature Colt Second Model Dragoon revolver was made
by masterful maker Emil Ripoli and features the fancy “Saml Colt” inscription on top of the barrel, a blade front sight, hammer notch rear sight,
and Master Engraver Roger Sampson’s intricate floral scroll pattern engraving on the barrel, loading lever, cylinder, frame, hammer, trigger
guard, and back strap, with oval panel scenes on either side of the barrel containing a gold bison on the left and an eagle on the right and
gold inlaid bands and borders. Matching visible number “3” on the loading lever, barrel, frame, trigger guard, and back strap,
with “00003” on the cylinder.
CONDITION: Excellent, retains 99% original blue, casehardened, and gold finishes and sharp engraving. Grip is also excellent, with tight
fitment, minimal handling evidence, and distinct edges. The
action mechanically functions.
