Model 1911A1 Semi-Automatic Pistol - Serial
no. 48, 2 1/2 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips.
Manufactured by Joel Morrow’s (1941-2019) firm Imperial
Russian Armory c. 1990s as a 1/2 scale, non-firing miniature
of a U.S. Colt Model 1911A1 semi-automatic service pistol.
Features correctly simulated features including fixed sights,
two-line Colt Patent dates and address surrounding a
Rampant Colt on the left of the slide, along with a functional
slide stop, thumb safety, wide spur hammer, grip safety,
magazine release, and trigger assembly. Also features scale
recreated Colt class “C” factory engraving with 75% coverage
of the frame and slide, continued the slide catch and thumb
safety, with “R.SAMSON 96” signed on the right side of the
frame for master engraver Roger Samson. Fitted with a pair of
checkered walnut grips and a functional blued magazine. This
particular pistol is pictured and described on p. 177 of “The
Art of Miniature Firearms, Centuries of Craftsmanship” by The
Miniature Arms Society.
CONDITION: Excellent as masterfully embellished by Roger Samson,
retaining 99% blue finish with limited minor handling evidence,
attractive plum coloration to the grip and thumb safeties, clear
markings, and crisp small-scale engraving. The grips are also excellent
with limited minor handling evidence in the well-defined checkering.
The action mechanically functions.

Well-Documented Imperial Miniature Armory Miniature
German Borchardt C93 Semi-Automatic Pistol with Stock and
Presentation Case, Copy of the Full Sized Set Presented to the
President of Mexico Don Porfirio Diaz by Kaiser Wilhelm II of
Germany, Featured in “The Art of Miniature Firearms, Centuries
of Craftsmanship” - NSN, 3 3/4 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut
grips. This is a finely made approximately 1/2 scale non-firing miniature
Borchardt C93 pistol by Imperial Miniature Armory. It has no visible
markings. Includes a red leather wrapped case with a brass plaque on the
lid inscribed “Exmo Senor/Don Porfirio Diaz/Presidente De La Republica
Mexicana” with green felt lined fitted interior containing a board stock
with cheek piece, two extra magazines, cleaning rod, vaseline tin,
combination oiler/hammer tool, dummy rounds, and key. The case is made
as an exact miniature copy of the full sized set presented to the President
of Mexico by Kaiser Wilhelm II of Germany. This exact miniature Borchardt
and its presentation case are pictured on page 123 of “The Art of Miniature
Firearms, Centuries of Craftsmanship” in which the miniature gun is noted as
made by Imperial Miniature Armory, the case by Wayne Hoosier, and the case
hardware by Roberto Hinz.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retains 99% original blue finish, with minimal
handling evidence, and crisp grip checkering. The action mechanically
functions. Case is very fine.

Armory, as a 1/2 scale, non-
firing miniature of a U.S. Colt
Model 1911A1 semi-automatic service pistol. Features correctly simulated features including fixed sights,
two-line Colt Patent dates and address surrounding a Rampant Colt on the left of the slide, along with a
functional slide stop, thumb safety, wide spur hammer, grip safety, magazine release, and trigger assembly.
The right of this example’s slide is inscribed to famed U.S. Army General H. Norman Schwarzkopf. Fitted
with a pair of checkered walnut grips and a functional blued magazine. Includes a hardwood case with a
brass plaque marked “NORMAN/SCHWARZKOPF” on the lid and a fitted red felt interior, containing a scale
recreation of a 50 count box of .45 ACP cartridges with seven scale dummy cartridges. Also includes a
letter signed by Cynthia Schwarzkopf, on Schwarzkopf Family letterhead, certifying this miniature as being
the former property of her father, General H. Norman Schwarzkopf.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 95% plus original blue finish with some minor handling evidence, clear
markings, and crisp inscription. The grips are also excellent with well-defined checkering. The action
mechanically functions. The case is very fine.
