Exceptional Ithaca 10 Gauge Flues Model
Field Grade Double Barrel Shotgun Two
Barrel Set - Serial no. 381541, 10 gauge,
28 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened
finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1924.
The field grade receiver has double triggers
and automatic tang safety. Mounted on a
checkered splinter forearm and pistol grip
stock. The buttstock has a hard rubber grip
cap and checkered factory hard rubber
buttplate featuring embossed scrollwork around the Ithaca logo. Each barrel set features a raised matted
rib, single bead sight, 2 7/8 inch chambers and extractor. One barrel set measures 32 inches, and the
other measures 28 inches. Each barrel set is marked “SMOKELESS POWDER” and “MADE IN THE U.S.A.” at the
breech, along with the serial number on the barrel flats, although the 28 inch barrel was likely fitted at a later date. The single forearm has matching numbers on the wood
and hardware. Bore and stock measurements: 32 in. barrels bore measurement at 9 inches from the breech, .760/.759, choke, .034(F)/.034(F), 28 in. barrels bore measurement at 9
inches from the breech, .777/.777, choke, .014(IC)/.023(M), drop at comb 1 7/8 inches, drop at heel 3 inches, length of pull 14 inches.
CONDITION: Excellent. Each barrel set retains 97% original blue finish showing thinning on the balance. The receiver retains 90% plus original vivid case colors with an applied finish and light
pitting on the fences, as well as high edge wear. The trigger guard has 97% of the original blue with only the slightest edge wear. The wood is also excellent showing minimal handling evidence and crisp
checkering. Mechanically excellent. A very hard to find Ithaca Field grade in desirable 10 gauge with two barrels!

Rare Factory Engraved Parker Brothers BHE Grade
Double Barrel Shotgun - Serial no. 200204, 12 gauge, 28 inch
solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1922. This
gun has blued barrels featuring dual white bead sights on the matted concave solid
rib, narrow band of engraving
at the breech, and 2
3/4 inch chambers
with automatic
ejectors. The
barrels also show a
Remington 1938 date
code and repair mark
indicating they are factory
replacements. The grade, gauge, action type, barrel
length, ejectors, stock type, and single trigger are confirmed on page 506 of “Parker
Gun Identification and Serialization” by Price and Fjestad. The book also lists the
barrels as being Damascus steel, making this one of just 38 guns that was originally built in that configuration
according to page 308 of “The Parker Story” by Gunther, Mullins, Parker, Price, and Cote. The steel barrels are fitted to a casehardened size “1/2” marked
frame with boxlock action which displays three beautifully cut game scenes surrounded by scrollwork consisting of a pair of pointing dogs on the left side,
a pair of quail in a field on the underside, and a pair of pointing dogs on the right side all rendered in fine detail. The gun features a single selective trigger
and a tang mounted automatic safety. The gun is fitted with a highly figured and fully checkered splinter forend with casehardened and engraved iron as
well as a pistol grip stock with fleur-de-lis carved drop points, fancy checkering, blank gold inscription oval on the grip cap, and a Hawkins red rubber recoil
pad. Barrel and stock measurements (R/L): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .732/.732 inches; choke constriction .017/.030 inches; minimum wall
thickness .025/.024 inches; 1 3/4 inch drop at comb; 2 7/16 inch drop at heel; 13 1/2 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs. 13 oz.
CONDITION: Very fine as factory refurbished overall, retaining 95% blue finish, 50% case colors, light overall handling evidence, and sharp checkering on the stock and forend.
